Challenge yourself with over 9,000 square feet of exhilarating wall space!
We have a massive bouldering room including a new 45 wall over 15' overhangs.
Enjoy 20 top-ropes including cracks, aretes, chimneys, slabs, and overhangs and
try one of our lead climbs, even on the ceiling! There's plenty to do for all abilities;
your imagination is the limit!

Awesome atmosphere and retro feeling facility is overshadowed by prices for membership and variety of routes. Only game in town right now, but some updates will be needed to stay competitive with other gyms being opened fall of 2023.
Indoor ascent is the first climbing gym i tried bouldering at and I've been hooked ever since. Every worker I've met is always welcoming and happy to give advice. The community here is also amazing. I haven't met anyone who didn't want to help me or help give me advice. I try to come as much as I can. I always leave so much happier.
Very small facility. Not the best I've been to. The staff were nice and the price was comparable to other climbing gyms, but again, it was pretty small. Weird vibes from the other climbers. Also, no parking. Wouldn't go again.
Goodprice,staffs friendly,huge downside no parking and place is tiny,place was swarming with kids i mean,its good but cant get get a boulder if ya tried.
Great old school gym. Staff and other climbers have been very friendly and welcoming every time I've been here and the routesetting is sold.
Always a great time here and a good upper body workout for sure! Great for all ages...or in my opinion 8 an up!

My family has been visiting Indoor Ascent for a couple years on and off. We're just casual climbers. Both before and during the pandemic, we find the relaxed atmosphere enjoyable. It's not a huge gym, but there's plenty to climb. The online sign up is nice right now because you know you won't be entering a crowded space. We feel safe to visit as hand sanitizer is provided and everyone is masked up. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Our kids 7 and 11 really enjoy the gym as well. Though some holds are a hard reach, they enjoy the challenge even if they have to improvise sometimes.
Nice spot not to far from Portsmouth. I was slightly disappointed by the size but it's definitely got a lot of climbs. Some of the climbs were not labeled with a difficulty so it was hard to gauge what to climb and some that were labeled as a 5.8 were not that easy so just use your own common sense to climb. Definitely will go back again after I recover from this trip.
