Lisa began her career as a fitness instructor teaching yoga and pilates for her teammates and fellow students at the University of Redlands. She also worked as an instructor at the Redlands LA Fitness, where she expanded her teaching repertoire to include boot camp and body works classes. Lisa’s love of teaching and positive motivational skills were key to her success as a fitness instructor, as well as her success in obtaining her Multi-subject Teaching Credential as well as a Master’s Degree at the University of Redlands’ School of Education. Upon graduating, she became an elementary school teacher. Throughout her career as a teacher, fitness instructor, personal trainer, and college instructor, Lisa has expanded her knowledge pertaining to fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness. Lisa enjoys networking with clients, and helping to set performance goals of the youth and adult athletes that she works with, regardless of age. Lisa has worked with elementary school children, high school students, college students, and seniors. She feels honored to teach yoga at Calimesa Crossfit and hopes to provide something unique to the Crossfit world through her yoga practice.
Lisa Chase is a graduate of the University of Redlands, and a decorated alumnus of the Bulldog track and field and cross country programs. Lisa currently holds top ten records in both the 5000m (18:53) and 6000m (23:07), and was named Most Valuable Athlete, Top Newcomer, First Team All Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), and First Team All-Region. In addition to her athletic prowess, Lisa also held the position of Team Captain and garnered a “Most Inspirational” award from her teammates and coaches. Prior to her competitive running career, Lisa was a multi-sport athlete for Big Bear High school who played on the volleyball and soccer teams. In addition to team sports, Lisa took advantage of the recreational sports culture and has enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, water skiing, wakeboarding, snowshoeing and hiking. Lisa continues to participate in recreational as well as competitive sports, spending her free time snowboarding in the winter and enjoying the water sports that Big Bear offers during the summer months. Lisa can also be found participating in local 5k, 10k, or half marathon road races, and was sponsored by the Running Center Racing Team.
