I love this hotel. It reminds me of the Excalibur in Las Vegas. The architecture is beautiful with all the stone and the pools and courtyard are also gorgeous with fountains and cabanas. This would be a great place for company meetings or even a wedding. There is ample parking, even if you have a truck and trailer. Their breakfast buffet is to die for and has so many options. They had some of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve had in a very long time. There is a pub here as well that’s open until midnight which was fun.The only issue I had was that when it was time to check out, everyone attempted to rush us out of the building. Their website says the check out time is 11am and the front desk says noon but we had house keeping knocking on our door around 9:45am telling us we needed to leave. They also cut the TV off at 9:45am with a message saying our room was being checked out which was annoying because I was watching it while my girlfriend finished getting ready. Regardless, this is a great hotel and I would definitely recommend it and would gladly stay here again if I was ever in the area. It’s right off I-10 and is a great place for a pit stop while traveling cross country or to spend a weekend and explore the area.
This place was so very cool. The front desk agent was hands down the most helpful one I’ve ever encountered. The pool was beautiful, and the room was very clean. The only negative was the breakfast. It was really not even as good as a continental breakfast you would get anywhere for free, yet it cost $14 and the server seemed to have no clue how to do her job.
Please do not be fooled by the carefully chosen exterior pictures. This place is literally a motel definition low building with doors that open to the outside it is clean and very dated probably very nice in the late 1960’s it does have 2 pools and a nice little area to sit and see the inner courtyard. The walls are paper thin. We had to listen to our neighbors have a full on drunken fight followed by them making up and the next night they were singing at midnight to the wee hours. If the walls were not so thin we wouldn’t know how Gary and Deedee finished their makeup with “yabba dabba doo”. I will never see the Flinstones the same. The parking lot isn’t well lit so if you are woman arriving alone be more aware. The ceilings are low so if you are over 5’9 you will feel like the ceilings are caving in.
Has been an awful experience staying at this hotel two years in a row for the Hill country Roundup conference. Our room has been extremely hot. The service sucks trying to get it fixed and I will not be staying here again;Rooms: 1/5
Excellent spot for exploring Kerrville. Super convenient location for dining and walking. Easy in easy out. Rooms are spacious and clean. Grounds are nice. Looking forward to using the pool next visit. This is a "come backer"Rooms: 5/5
The place in court yard is so beautiful! And staff was also very kind. However, after spending a week sleeping on a hospital chair, I really badly needed a good bed to lay my head down on and get a good nights rest. Once unloaded and clothes changed, my daughter and I feel into bed. As soon as I did I wanted to cry. The bed was so extremely uncomfortable I could feel the springs in it. The pillows had obviously been washed in washer and had little balls all in them. I usually have my own however, I left mine with my mom in hospital. But, even the hospital pillows and chair were more comfortable. I usually am not someone to complain. But, this is opportunity for growth and learning. I was way to exhausted to go find another hotel. I did get right back up from bed and called front desk. The lady was very sweet and kind and did give me a discount. Staff in no way was an issue. The room bed and pillows was! As we laid there we got warm so my daughter turned ac on. About 2 hours later, I woke covered in sweat. I checked ac and it was at 68 but it felt like 80 in there. I could hear it running, but was not cooling. I definitely understand that things happen. However, my issue is a small discount for a lousy night, was not sufficient at all. I have worked in customer services for many years. And this is not how to have return. If you truly value your guest and hear something so important such as sleep was a big issue, offer a full refund or at least a voucher toward future stay. I do not see myself returning as I stated once checking out. I was even surprised a manager was not called to speak with me about how disappointing our stay was. Another sad thing is as I have looked at reviews, I see that response is few and far between. Seems like it’s a pick and choose of who and when to respond to reviews.
No coffee until 7am. I will not drink coffee from the little coffee maker in room. So if you want coffee early in the morning ,plan for a road trip down the road.Rooms: 3/5
