Wonderful cookies and ran by wonderful people. My friend brought me in here when I was very unwell and needed to take a few minutes to sit down somewhere while we were going through town and the staff were incredibly friendly, caring and attentive as soon as they realized I was in a bad way and gave me a cookie box to take home with a note on it that they hope my trip gets better soon. Really kind and caring and the cookies were delicious, highly recommend.
I have nothing, but good things to say about the employees at this location! I was supposed to have my order delivered; however, due to specific reasons, this location was running behind. Brandy was extremely kind and called me to let me know about the situation. Thus, I decided to pick it up myself. The gentleman working at the front, Alex was extremely helpful. The customer service that I received from Brandy and Alex made the situation so much better! Things happen, but these two amazing humans did their best. Highly recommend this location for their amazing cookies and incredible customer service. 10/10 for sure!
Cookies were great and were still soft the next day. However, the server complained about people coming in bc they had just finished a 900 cookie order and appeared to be annoyed that she had to do her job and make more cookies.
My boyfriend and I came in and were immediately told that the options were limited which was fine. We noticed the lady attending us was standoffish to customers before us as well. We asked about a type of cookie and she said “those are out but we’ll have them tomorrow morning before you have school, i’m assuming yall have school” which I then replied “no we don’t”. Her response was “that’s just sad”. Her response and demeanor was completely inappropriate given she’s assuming we aren’t educated if we don’t have to go to school tomorrow. I find this highly offensive as I just graduated FROM UNC this past year which is why I don’t have to wake up to go to class- I work a full time job! My boyfriend is also a real estate agent! Her comment shows prejudice she has about people that look like me and my boyfriend. I am completely disturbed by this experience and don’t plan to come back if workers at insomnia continue to discriminate people of color.
TLDR: awful service, long waits, mismanaged kitchen, the lady in the blue shirt is rude and should NOT work in customer service. Insomnia cookies are not worth an HOUR wait. I’ve been an insomnia cookie fan for years - and been to many different locations. Wish I could give this place zero stars. After patiently waiting in line for 25 minutes with my pregnant friend, we walked up to see what was the delay. Afterall, insomnia cookies is a brand known for hot warm cookies - quick and easy. But this was neither quick nor easy. The server behind the counter announced that more cookies had to be baked which would take another 20 mins. There was a line out the door at this point - around 20-30 people in line. And there was a full rack of baked cookies behind her. We asked about those cookies and she said that they were “too hot” - all while giving the most evil eye and tone dripping with condescension. She was incredibly combative - and it was clear that the kitchen is mismanaged since they couldn’t anticipate or keep up with demand post-dinner time. Had she been more apologetic or empathetic - I would have carried on waiting and been more understanding. But she was rude straight off the bat - no apology for their subpar service. Awful.
Customer service is amazing even at 11 with a line out the door do to covid regulations. The cookies were hot and also good. I could do without the waiting in line and delivery even if just down the block seems to be the quickest option available.
It’s Friday night! Thankfully the line wasn’t crazy long at this Insomnia Cookie location, and service was quick and friendly! I obtained 6 mouthwatering, warm cookies! Oh no, I won’t misappreciate these cookies by eating them in the passenger seat of vehicle my boyfriend’s driving. I am anxious to get home, pour me a glass of milk and dig in! LOL Dude- I just got home. Just took another picture of my cookie box. They gave me 7 instead of 6 cookies! An accident? Complementary? I don’t know! I don’t care! I just know I’m going to enjoy another cookie! OMG.. I just dig’d in. These are probably the best cookies I have ever had! Soft, warm, delicious and not overly sweet! Perfectly baked!
This opened when I was still in college here, so I have a lot of great memories with insomnia cookies. They were such a lovely treat for late nights studying. Some campus clubs would even offer insomnia cookies for their events instead of the classic pizza to get more people in the door. The cookies are still soft, sweet, and gooey many years later and the person who served me the cookie was delightful to talk to.
Waited so long for the wrong and melted order to show up, to the wrong apartment door no less. I called and the worker was very nice and apologized and said it would be refunded and corrected. That’s awesome. Waited over an hour and called again to check I heard her correct. She said the driver had 3 deliveries before mine even though this was a correction, not an order, should be prioritized. By the time the driver delivered ours, it was still wrong and it was melted. We only got 1 of the 2 ice creams we ordered, which was the whole point of ordering from them in the first place.
An amazing person gifted my office with these delicious cookies. I was pleasantly surprised with how good they were. I will be visiting soon.
