I've been training at Inspire BJJ for almost two years, it's been an incredible experience. The head instructor is super friendly and extremely skilled. They really emphasize safety and positivity, everyone is friendly and supportive. The space is clean and the sense of community is outstanding. From day one I felt welcome and encouraged by fellow students and instructors, I'm so glad I started training here.
Coach Barr is hands down the most patience and grounded instructor we have had the pleasure to work with. He runs his academy with tradition and balance. Kids have been with this studio for almost 4 years and we have been impressed with their confidence level and leadership skills. Thanks to Inspire and the team members!
I trained while on vacation at Inspire. Thomas and the team were very friendly and welcoming. Trained technique for about an hour then had a great rolling session. Would highly recommend the gym if you are in town or local and looking to learn a new art.
Love this gym!!!! Professor Whit is very patient and knowledgeable! He is very detailed and technical and this will change your jiu Jitsu game 100000%. He’s also very aware and alert of every student during training. If he knows that you’re capable of pushing yourself, he’ll push you. If he knows that you’re not feeling confident or when you’re feeling uncomfortable, he’ll make sure you’re comfortable and confident! I’m pretty small and he made a lot of effort to make sure I’m partnered with someone closer to my height and weight when I first started. I’ve been to a lot of gyms and inspire jiu Jitsu academy is definitely one of my favorite gyms!! Also, the team is absolutely fire! Everyone works and trains really hard! The team is also very friendly and inclusive! It’s one thing to train with hardworking teammates but it’s another to be able to build great friendships! This academy is an absolute gold. And I say this cause I’ve been to other gyms where I was partnered with someone that’s 3 times my weight… or the class the extremely disorganized… or the teammates are unmotivated. I’ve never experienced this at inspire academy! Phenomenal professor and phenomenal team!!!!!!!
So grateful for this space. My 9 year old son found a welcoming space to learn agility, jiu jitsu, and build new friendships. Thank you Inspire!
I have been training at Inspire BJJ for a little over a year now. I arrived as a blue belt from another academy and was immediately impressed with Coach Whit’s approach to teaching. More than just teaching detailed technique, he’s helped my understanding of how to approach the learning process. The curriculum Coach Whit teaches is modern, effective, and easy to understand. I am especially grateful for the culture he has created. All of the students that I’ve trained with are friendly and inviting. I’d recommend Inspire BJJ to anyone, no matter what your personal goals are.
I have been going to this gym for about 1 month, I started with no martial art experience and I have loved it. Coach Whit is humble, pays attention to detail, welcoming to new comers, takes time to answer questions, and is clearly dedicated to raising up his students. Us students range from young college students to U.S. Veterans to parents, so there is a good mix of differnt walks of life and a spot for everybody, and we are always excited to have new teammates. The facilities are always clean and the mats are cleaned every night. It is a great way to stay in shape, learn to protect yourself, and meet some great people.
I love this gym and all the people who train here! If you're interested in martial arts but have no background in it, like me, it's a fun and supportive environment. And if you have a lot of experience I recommend trying it out too, they train at a high level as well.
Inspire BJJ Academy is a phenomenal and informative school. Coach Whit’s instructional curriculum is easy to understand and effective. He goes above and beyond to provide guidance to each individual while being attentive to all students. He ensures a professional attitude both on and off the mat while maintaining a fun and safe environment. Inspire BJJ is a welcoming school to everybody who steps in and is one that I would highly recommend.
I had the opportunity to train at Inspire Bjj while visiting Ft. Collins last week and came away very impressed. I felt very welcomed from the start and as a lower belt appreciated the structure of class. Coach Whit does a great job of focusing on the components of each movement while keeping in mind that everybody moves different and has varying ability. I especially liked the stressing of good hygiene while training. Something that can't be overstated in this sport. I would definitely recommend this school if you're wanting to give jiu jitsu a try. And next time I'm in town I'll absolutely go back.
