Dr. Shawn Roofian is the founding physician of Integrated Pain Management located in Beverly Hills, Encino, and Chula Vista of Southern California. Dr. Roofian is double Board-Certified in anesthesiology and pain management, utilizing advanced pain treatments for patients that have chronic back pain, neck pain, spinal pain, cancer pain and neuromodulation. He is also the Director of the Ketamine Medical Institute, presenting lectures at medical conferences as well as identifying proper candidates for Ketamine treatments.

Went here for back pain. Great office I would highly recommend it they were very thorough treated me very nicely and most importantly they make me feel a lot better.
Miss leading. Office visit is in-network with blue shield PPO but facility to do any diagnostic procedures is out of network with Blue Shield PPO. I called his office and I asked if they excepted Blue Shield PPO. I said I would most likely need to do some diagnostic procedures so I wanted to make sure they were In-network. they said yes so I made an appointment with Dr. Roofian. He was very nice and answered all my questions and we decided that I needed a diagnostic test. When I followed up on insurance approval, the office told me they were OUT OF Network for the diagnostic procedure.
Dr. Roofian is wonderful. He always takes time to explain everything to me in a way I understand. He comes up with non invasive ways to help with my chronic back pain, he doesn’t give up, and he’s helping me so that I can put off surgery for as long as possible without being in excruciating pain. He truly cares and I love how he combines holistic medicine with modern medicine. I would recommend him a thousand times over! If you’re experiencing pain and/or at the end of your rope and frustrated, go see him, I promise he won’t disappoint!
Dr. Roofian, as I have become to know him as a patient, he is very knowledgeable and gives sound advice and opinions on my treatment plan and care. He is very informative on new treatment methods associated with the type of injury I have, which is well appreciated. He has a great front office you can tell when a provider make sure that they are up on their interpersonal skills because this keeps patients coming and also patients are a great referral system. Thank you Dr. Roofian and staff for my care.
I went in for an epidural in my upper back c1 area and within a day I feel like a new person. My nerves don’t pinch when I rotate my neck in certain positions today. Dr. Roofian and his staff are great, and he lets you know everything he’s doing. Finally, I feel like I can continue with my neck therapy and get better results by being able to work harder with less pain.
I have seen many pain management specialists in the past 15 years. Doctor Roofian is not just a pain management specialist that writes prescriptions without truly listening and assessing the medical issues. He recommends natural approaches to permanent healing. He doesn’t start with high doses of medicine like most doctors. He is not the type of doctor that will make negative comments to his patients regarding recovery. He gives great long term recommendations for recovery vs masking the pain temporarily. I arrange to have someone help me make the longer drive because he is worth it. I truly believe I finally found a doctor that will help me transition to natural healing. Although he does treat in all methods, he listens to what I want long term. Thank you Dr. Roofian!
I was involved a horrific MVA on Valentine's Day 2018. My Lyft driver blew a red light. I was in trauma/neuro for 2 days. I did extensive research to find and pick a doctor that I felt could help me rehabilitate. I am glad to say that my research proved to me to be worthwhile and valuable. Dr. Roofian and his staff, particularly, Kennedy, have been with me every step of the way. Dr. Roofian requested the right MRI at a great facility. Treatment options were provided, and I must say that Dr. Roofian's honest opinion always makes me feel I am in the right hands. We went with epidural injections in my lumbar and cervical. Other pluses, appointments are scheduled promptly with follow-up emails and reminders. To me, this has been invaluable because since the accident I have had problems planning, remembering appointments, and making big decisions. All in all, I highly recommend Dr. Roofian. Fight on!
Dr. Roofian is a dedicated and caring professional. He assures that his patiences progress and feel better. His staff are courteous and helpful. All they look for promoting a safe and caring environment. I personally can say that my back, neck, and hip pain has decreased satisfactorily with Dr. Roofian Treatment.
Dr. Roofian is kind, understanding and sensitive. It is clear he understands the level of pain his patients experience. He is appropriately conservative, knowing when to offer the next level of pain management. I am very grateful to my Keck/USC spine specialist for referring me to Dr.R.
The staff is horrible. They put you on hold and transfer without informing you of what's going on. They don't know the rules with insurance companies and are very argumentative, while being wrong. The y told me I needed a consult, which I do not because I have Medicare. Secondary insurances FOLLOW the protocol of the primary insurance! Martha, the so called head of staff is just as clueless.
