Integrus Health Education Services is dedicated to improving the lives of our community members by reducing the effects of chronic disease. By using evidence-based educational programs, we hope to empower our clients to achieve the highest quality of life possible. Our scope of services includes health education to patients lacking nutritional, educational and supportive services; professionals needing updated training, and community members interested in improving their overall health. Our individualized approach to health coaching and chronic disease self-management provides proven improvements in patient outcomes and the highest return on investment for our patients and physicians.
Owner Julie Wright has over 15 years of nutrition and health education experience. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics and Spanish from Ambassador University, and is currently completing her Master of Public Health-Nutrition at the University of Massachusetts—Amherst. She plans to graduate in December 2015. Julie has worked as a Diabetes Educator for the past three years at Denton County Health Department, where she has served over 200 uninsured patients with Diabetes. As part of this team, Julie helped lower the % A1c (a marker for estimated average blood sugar) by over 2 points per patient. Julie is also a Certified Classroom Teacher (Texas State Board of Education), Certified BLS-CPR Instructor (American Heart Association), Community Health Worker (Texas Department of State Health Services), and a Child Passenger Safety Technician (Safe Kids World Wide). She and her husband Jason have two daughters who attend school at Northwest ISD.
