Our Mission:
The Interfaith Food Bank of Amador County works to eliminate hunger and it's causes because no one should have to face the day hungry.
Our Vision:
We envision a time without hunger in Amador County; a time when parents don't go without to feed their children, and a time when the elderly do not have to choose between housing, life saving medication and food.
We serve people from all walks of life. Most recently we have been seeing families and individuals that have never needed help before. Every day someone new comes to us for food. The people in our community, our neighbors are children, the elderly, the disabled, veterans, underemployed, homeless. The sad reality is it will continue to get worse and we are here to help. We provide emergency food boxes twice a month.
