Interlaken Inn and Restaurant

An absolute hidden gem and must visit in Lake Placid. The building has so much character, the rooms are beautiful. The food is amazing and at a great price; check out the monkey bar. Can’t wait to visit our next tripRooms: 5/5

My wife and I just came for our honeymoon over the New Year. Walking distance to town. It’s like going into a time capsule. Beautiful polished copper bar and gourmet food. A Lake Placid stapleRooms: 5/5

Wow nice , charming place. Two rooms has half of the bar in the . Plus a dining room. A little loud for me. Sue our server was stop on, as busy as she was . Great suggestions. I choose the Surf and Turf. Nice size lobster, three strips of the meat. I thought small , but when I tasted it, it was like a party in my mouth. Instead of the zucchini mashed ,I chose to get the string beans. My friends had 1- appy Beef Tips, 2- had the special 12oz NY Strip, and the the pasted with fried chicken strips. All very good

My fiancé and I decided to eat here for dinner one night while we were on our honeymoon in Lake Placid. Everything from the initial welcome, to the dinner and dessert, was absolutely wonderful. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The dessert was the best we have ever had. We were waited on by Kara, and she was friendly and attentive and professional. We can’t say enough about how great everything was. Thank you to the entire staff for the great experience!

Very unique place. Interesting history. The food and ambiance were excellent. I would visit again any time I am in Lake Placid. A little out of the way, but we found it. If you have a chance go for dinner, you will be sorry.

We had amazing family dinner while celebrating the New Year on Jan 1st! Everything we tried was very delicious and the place itself is beautiful and cozy. It was recommended to us by our hotel stuff as “the best food in town”. I concur. Will definitely visit again whenever we are in Lake Placid.

Wow, the restaurant at Interlaken Inn is amazing! Everything we had - from their bread, onion rings, crab cakes, steak, risotto, and the phlyo wrapped creme brulee was perfection! My husband and kids had dinner here twice on our short trip to Lake Placid. We also had dinner one night at the View at Mirror Lake Inn which is often rated as the best restaurant in Lake Placid, and while the View was good, I enjoyed my meals at Interlaken Inn much more. Mary and her team are just wonderful and inviting. Plus, from our dinner table, we would look out to the holidays lights that were still up in Feb 2021 reflecting off the beautiful snow, which made dinner feel magical. We did not stay at the Inn but I am sure Mary runs an amazing inn. Thanks for the phenomenal meals!

The food was excellent and our waitress was extremely helpful and made great recommendations. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the cocktail I ordered. My wife did enjoy hers. We will definitely go back and have already recommended it to a number of people.

This review is for restaurant only on 1/15/21. It was myself and husband and if we could rate better than 5 star, we would! We were seated in the enclosed porch by window overlooking the lights reflecting off snow, just beautiful. Anna was our waitress and we couldn’t have asked for better, she is sweet, knowledgeable and attentive and provided the best service! I had the chicken fracasee which was heaven in a light cream sauce and risotto and green beans. Hubby had veal saltimbocca which came with mustard grain mashed potatoes and green beans, he said it was cooked to perfection, tasty and a generous portion. For dessert, we split the Creme brûlée in phyllo and I wished I had gotten my own, it was that good! You won’t regret a meal here!

My wife and I loved our weekend stay at the Interlaken. Cozy and cute, we really enjoyed the charm of the place. Mary, the owner, was so kind to us and made sure to do everything to make our stay there memorable. Thank you again for your help with our car situation : Our dog Meadow was welcomed by all staff. Will definitely be back.
