So many great reasons to take Taekwon-Do at IBBCV! Cindy, Theresa, and Susan are outstanding, patient, and knowledgeable instructors. Both my kids and I have practiced here for years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else for martial arts in Charlottesville. Traditional Forms, Non-Contact, all female instructors - what else could you ask for?

I have been a long time participant at International Black Belt Center since 2005. Prior to IBBCV I searched to find a school where students learned respect, for both martial arts and each other. I was delighted to find IBBCV and the Kwon, Jae-Hwa traditional Taekwon-Do system. The system is challenging both mentally and physically, yet being traditional, it does not encourage aggressive behavior or a 'fighting' mentality. It's perfect for students of all ages!

I started my martial arts training in my mid fifties. Everyone at the IBBC made me feel welcomed and they were so patient as began to learn the forms. There was no pressure only encouragement. I highly recommend this facility.

This martial arts school not only teaches traditional martial arts, it also benefits the community with its scholarship program. This particular Taekwondo is very aerobic and will benefit your physical, and mental wellbeing.

The teachers take great care in their instruction. The classes are most dynamic and there is a great spirit of comraderie. I especially like the fact that it is traditional non-contact.
