I recently finished the nail program and I must say I could not have been successful without the instruction from Mrs. Reahann Cooper Craig , aka MRS BUTTER!!! It is because of her I finished the program with a solid foundation in nail application, nail care and a safety skill set that I would proudly put up against anyone at my beginner level. Mrs. Butter is kind and gracious and goes beyond the call of duty everyday! As an instructor that is currently in the industry booked and busy, she not only teaches the foundation of nails, but the overall business and how to grow it. I'm a student of hers for life and if she ever decides to start her own school, its a wrap. I'm giving 5 stars for Mrs. Butter!! The school as a whole 3 stars.
I love the fact that students are learning a skill and trade that has the potential to provide a great therapeutic experience at a very good price . At the same time the customer service, specifically in and around the reception area must improve if the organization is to thrive and gain more business. Far too many incidences of unorganization, miscommunication, and overall lack of professional business like attitudes. I've never seen rude behavior. Simply too much of immature practices like discussing conflicts and drama in front of customers. It's time to do better!
I went through the massage therapy program graduating in July of 2017. I completed the program in 7 months paying for it out of pocket. It was the least expensive school in the area with the fastest program. Since they offer morning and evening classes, I was able to work full time while attending the program. The school has a broad approach targeting several areas of Holistic and Wellness practices. I became Master in Reiki and certified in Ionic Foot Detox; I became certified in many modalities of massage including prenatal, Hot Stones, sports, NMT, chair massage, reflexology to name a few. It was totally worthy the sacrifice. After graduating, I was able to open my own Holistic Massage Spa. It all began with accepting the invitation by the owner Mrs Pam Jones to take on the challenge to change my life for better. I encourage any one who wants to make a difference, to join this program here at International School of Skincare, Nailcare & Massage Therapy. Great environment with encouraging instructors.
Do not and I repeat DO NOT go here as a client or as a student. The machines are broken at a new school at that! I overheard someone getting burned by a steamer over the weekend and nope I will not go. I’m sure the people that are owners of the school won’t care just like they don’t care about the machines. I hope these students get better quality items bc they look old and run down!
The new location is bigger but the service sucks. I went there to receive a signature facial and a mask.They didn’t have any towels, they wrapped my hair line with thin paper towels.The mask leaked all down into my hair and they didn’t have towels to wipe off.They charged $50, no music,no towels and they aren’t fully set up.Do not waste your money like I did.Better off getting a mask from Sephora and doing a home facial.
My best friend & I booked facials and the estheticians were great! They listened to our concerns and provided great feedback back for our skin care.
This school is full of students from all walks of life wanting to help people feel better and look better. The faculty and staff have decades of experience to teach these students. Services are done by students with faculty supervision. I have had better massages here than ones that I have paid for. My nails never looked better than they do now being taken care by these students. My skin glows and have had endless types of facials here. My favorite is still the European Facial. I highly recommend this place. Please remember these are students and they are learning. Be patient with them and give them feedback.
