Ballet and Dance Education for the South Side of Chicago
The Iona Calhoun School of Ballet has been providing quality ballet instruction to Chicago's South Side for over 10 years. Classes are offered on Saturday's at The South Shore Cultural Center. The focus is on providing young dancers the tools needed to progress into a professional dancer. While everyone will not be a Prima Ballerina, ballet will provide the discipline and determination for success in all areas of life. A youth Ballet/Dance company has been founded out of the school. Company members have performed all over the Chicagoland area for such events as The Taste of Chicago, Dance Chicago, Winter Wonderfest, DuSable Museum and Park District events.
