Student Life is comprised of Student Activities and Residence Life. Student Activities is designed to complement the academic experience at Iowa Western. This is done by sponsoring events and various activities for the student body. In 2010-2011 we have sponsored Hypnotist- Jim Wand, Mentalist- Robert Channing, Comedian- Eric O’shea and Chicago’s Improv Group- Mission IMPROVable. Inside the SLC (Student Life Center) students can play pool, foosball, PS3, Xbox and Wii. Residence life oversees all of on-campus housing. While living on campus you can expect to encounter new challenges, meet new friends and have lots of fun, all while achieving academic success. Student Life provides students the opportunity to learn life, leadership, and interpersonal relationship skills through experiences outside of the classroom that will expose students to new ideas, people, and possibilities.
