There is no such thing as a judgment free zone. We are judged at work, by our friends, by strangers, and even our kids. Be aware of this always. And yes, even if you step into a powder puff fitness center, your going to be judged. Just because they have a sign on the wall doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Bodybuilding, weight lifting, Cross fit, and general fitness is about self-improvement. It is about pushing yourself past your regular comfort zone in order to achieve something greater. It is also about learning what works and what does not. Bottom line: You need a gym with members and staff that do judge you, so they help you get where you want to be, not keep you where you are.
