Iron Horse Park

This was so awesome to see. The memorial is so beautiful.

Do be aware that there is an unfenced body of water just about 500 feet from the playground. Also, it seems relatively under-appreciated, as one of the slides had a full spiderweb stretched over the entrance. Otherwise, it was nice and my 2.5 year-old child enjoyed the slides. There are some unique climbing features, an unusual-looking swing that appears to possibly be for wheelchairs to board.

It's a nice stop right off I-80. Many people go there for the Veteran's Memorial, which is neat. They are about to open a new playground. The lake has a concrete boat ramp & many go fishing here. It's probably too small & has a lot of weeds for a motor boat. Great for a kayak or Jon boat. The water-it looks clear but my picky dog wouldn't drink it. There is no plumbed facilities but there may have been a porta potty. No trails, but you can easily walk on the grass or concrete road next to the park hardly any traffic.

Clean park and was right near a load of cool things like the lake and the veterans memorial which where all kept up well and clean super fun especially during fall!

Great stop just off the interstate. Nice new children's playground, shaded picnic tables, & port-a-potties. Well kept secret.

They are done with the new dock and fishing piers. Great place to sit and watch sunrise.
