The mission of this Society is to discover, collect, organize, present and make accessible, for examination and through exhibition, every variety of materials, including written, photographic, documentary, or natural or man-made, which may serve to illustrate and explain the history of Irvington and its peoples, and in addition, to encourage interest in that history, particularly among young students, through its operation of the Irvington History Center, and its sponsorship of activities, lectures and presentations, publications and visits to historically significant sites.
