Great pub with exceptional beer list. Our server, Amanda, was amazing-prompt, helpful, watchful and friendly. She made our dinner experience amazing! The burgers are delicious as they get the best quality meat delivered fresh. The French fries are perfectly cooked and not greasy. The bar has great ambiance. Fun place! Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately this is not a handicap accessible restaurant. You must go upstairs or downstairs to use The restrooms.
The food and service were great. The interior could use a little updating especially upstairs. We ordered mozzarella sticks for app. Entrees included chicken fingers, quesadilla, and a delicious goat cheese burger. For dessert we ordered the devil's food cake and the peanut butter explosion. Drinks the pear pomegranate martini is pretty good.
A spectacular beer list and very good food. Amanda was an excellent server. She shared with us that she normally bartends. We have been back every week since we first visited. Malinda is an excellent server. Blackened chicken, bacon bleu salad is amazing. Belgian fries are also great.Food: 5/5
Stopped by for a good bite to eat so we didn’t have to cook after a long day. Definitely the right option! We were able to walk in and be seats right away. They have a good drink selection and a lots of menu options especially burgers. We opted for a burger and the fish and chips. The best part is the old bay seasoned fries with the cheese side sauce. The food came out quickly and hot and our server was great. The atmosphere during the week is great; you can just unwind and relax.
The food is pretty good but it is american/sit down bar food. We got the prime rib sandwich which is indeed "shaved" and super thinly sliced. The sauce helps it from being too dry but does contain gorgonzola advertised and i suspect some horseradish not advertised. Chicken fingers were crispy. Burger was nicely done. I'm not sure the sweet potato waffle fries need honey but others really enjoyed it. The onion nest was good but i like it better as a topping rather than standalone as the onion is shaved super super thin. Our waitress did a pretty amazing job with all of our modifications and special requests and deserves some serious props.
Still one of our family’s favorite spots to eat, not just in Newtown, but anywhere! Great food and service, and the best beer list in the area, hands down. Can’t beat the Three B’s Burger, and they have one of the best turkey burgers out there.Recommended dishesPickleback Burger, Fish and Chips
The food was good. Our server was very attentive, My only problem was eating in the bar room. A little too loud for me. But I would definitely go back and ask to sit in the other dining roomFood: 5/5
This restaurant is a staple in Newtown has been around for so many years. Overall they have really good food and my family and I love going there. We've gotten almost everything on the menu and most of it is good for our family. Desserts are a little pricey and $15 for a grilled cheese is a little much in my opinion but you're paying for everything else that is good about the restaurant.
Good things first-nice place, nice atmosphere, nice server. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, which was very good. Now the not so good-my diet coke tasted really weird and was completely flat. When I told the server, she said "a lot of people tell us our soda is flat". Okay, then do something about it, don't continue serving it to your customers. She suggested a diet root beer in a bottle which I got and while I'm not really a root beer fan, it was better than weird tasting flat diet coke. Next, my sandwich came with potato chips, fine! You know how when you get to the bottom of a bag of chips and there are just little broken pieces that you don't even want to eat at home? That's what they served me. Okay, they still taste the same, but not a great presentation and again, not something a restaurant should serve their guests when paying premium prices for a sandwich. Next, the coleslaw. It was really shredded cabbage and carrots-no dressing whatsoever. Just dry and unappealing. Finally, my check was $17.43 and I paid in cash. Apparently they don't like to deal with change coins there so they rounded UP to $18.00. I know it's only 57 cents but if they want to round, it should be down, not stealing from their customers. WIll I go back? Probably not, there are plenty of places that serve a good Reuben sandwich
Great experience all around. Our waitress, Elaina, was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave great recommendations. We even let her surprise us with her favorite dessert pick and it was to die for. We had boneless wings with dry rub AND buffalo sauce. They’re dark meat wings, definitely different and good. The tots poutine appetizer was awesome alongside their scalloped potato specialty soup. For entrees we tried the Korean bao bun special and the shrimp and grits. Both amazing. The dessert we had chosen for us was the chocolate cheesecake and it is MASSIVE and so good. We ended up leaving with 3 to go boxes Atmosphere was relaxing and updated. Service was timely as well as having efficient server assistants who pre bussed our table for us as we were done with things. Highly recommend trying!
