ISIP works to ensure the inclusion and equal participation of undergraduate and graduate students within the School of Arts and Sciences and School of Engineering particularly those with historically marginalized identities.
Objective: The Office of Intercultural & Social Identities Programs at Tufts University will pursue several goals for not only highlighting the importance of respecting and appreciating racial, ethnic, and identity diversity, but also showing how such is an imperative for continuing to build Tufts University as premier in the world.
Our Programs Include:
Social Justice Leadership Initiative (SJLI)
The SJLI seeks to integrate traditional leadership concepts and trainings with principles of social justice. Through introductory and specialized workshops and campus events, the initiative provides students with the opportunity to develop day-to-day and group leadership skills.
"A Look Within" Series
Students and faculty are given the opportunity to present their most recent research and publications.
Your Voice Matters" Conversation Cafés
'Conversation Cafés' present an opportunity for students and faculty to engage in small group conversations about critical topics at the heart of Tufts community.
Collaborative Calendar of Events:
ISIP will maintain a schedule of events sponsored by both the individual offices and ISIP that celebrate diversity, inclusion and equality. Creating a centralized calendar will emphasize and highlight the importance of such events and prevent scheduling conflicts.
