Island Gym Northfield

This gym is by far the best in the area. You get the best bang for your buck. It's a dollar a day and they have all the equipment and ROOM that you need to complete workout. Every person I've met here has only tried to help me improve my well being and that goes a long way. Highly recommend any new gym goer to start at island

Contracts are bad!! Pricing for a month bad !!! No water fountain! I was one day late for 6 month special and she said sorry can’t help you after 2 years member. Don’t like the renevations. Atilis is awesome with pricing and Anything else you need . Bye island gym.

The gym is not bad it's bigger than most of gems have been to the staff is friendly there's nothing more you can get from a gym beside the work you put into it. And yes it's 24 hours open

So I recently moved to EHT area and I went in to find out about memberships. Looks like a nice enough place. I waited 15 minutes at the front desk and no one seemed to notice or care I was there. Finally I called the place, while standing at the front desk, on my cell phone and someone came up. He seemed annoyed or like I was disrupting his day. He rattled off some membership prices and didn't offer to show me the facilities. With attitudes and this kind of treatment F them. Hopefully they're better to their members, because they obviously don't want new members...or at least male ones.

Got ripped off by the trainers here and they strategically avoided telling me to sign the cancelation papers on time even though I had been telling them I wasn't going to renew for another month just to get charged for that next month, $50 more than I was quoted, but when I explained to them that I shouldn't have been charged they said I was supposed to sign cancelation papers 2 weeks prior... But I told them 2 weeks prior, multiple times, while I was inside the gym, that I didn't want to renew and that it was their fault that they didn't ask me to sign the papers then. They were so unprofessional

As a person who joined island at 355 lbs and have lost almost 100lbs in under a year.. The gym has treated me well, it's 24/7. The staff is super friendly.. Someone said in their review that they are like Planet Fitness and yell at gym goes who powerlift and bodybuild and slam weights and grunt and what not.. No they do not.. I powerlift and have never once been yelled at even late late at night when it's quiet for grunting and slamming weights when I deadlift.. The equipment could use a upgrade.. But if you're looking for a 24/7 gym and a friendly little community within it.. Island is a goto.. I've met a lot of good people through this gym. Highly recommended

I've been a member for 11 years, love it here! Gym is always clean, new machines every so often, and trainers rock! And open 24 hours!

Great place to workout and this gym is 24 hours so you can come amytime. Only drawback is that it can get busy between 5 and 9 pm but that shows its popularity.

Island is a meat market but it is also a well maintained facility with valuable pricing, flexible hours and multiple convenient locations. Just wear headphones and put on blinders and you're all good.

Great staff, clean facility, the FitX classes are awesome, and the best part is the FREE childcare! Great place for parents who can only hit the gym after work
