I hate to write us a negative review but I think they’re more concerned about the money they’re taking in then the patient themselves.. . extremely disappointed I have had many disappointing experiences with this office with different family members that I have taken there looking to change my insurance. I have never been repeatedly disappointed by medical professionals in my life. I work in the medical field, I do not know what or why there always is a problem. I know they take a lot of Medicaid and Medicare patients offices overpacked and probably staff is overworked. there should be some type of standard that they should be meeting. i’m stuck right now I’m not sure how far I will go but it’s unacceptable to be waiting this long just to get an MRI I’m doing more damage as I wait, The pain is unbearable. extremely upset more than one time there Hass to be a different option.
Jessica at the front desk was rude and disrespectful to patients. I don’t go here but brought my father in law and listen to how she talked to people. She should not be working there, either the Doctor doesn't care or has no idea how his staff treats people.
First visit- 2 1/2 hour wait beyond appointment time. Plus 15 minutes early. Second Visit- 1 1/2 hour wait. Third visit- 1 hour wait. Each appointment was with a different health care professional. While they were “good,” this level of service lacks continuity and the wait becomes inexplicable when there is no consideration for whom the appointment is with. After the second appointment, I inquired with the PA regarding how to avoid a long waiting room wait and was advised to book the first appointment of the day in that office 2pm. That didn’t produce adequate results. I inquired with the office staff after the last appointment. They told me there was no way to avoid a wait of over an hour as they see a high volume of patients. I inquired about being seen at the first appointment of the morning at the other location and they declined to allow me to switch to the other office- even after telling them I would need to seek a different doctor who can keep appointments. While this office is terrible, I encountered no problems with discourteous staff. I actually found them quite pleasant. The clientele here leaves much to be desired. All you hear is groaning and moaning about workman’s comp and painkillers. Very trashy. The bathroom is disgusting. No hand dryer and the paper towels are outside the bathroom on a roll. For over a month now. No excuse for this when you’re collecting a lot of money from your “high volume of patients.”
I went here for a dislocated knee. Will be going back shortly since it happened again Always had pleasant experiences with the staff behind the desk. The doctors helped me greatly, and the physical therapy team helped me get back on my feet. I trust this office more than others. This office is in a very crowded neighborhood and the wait times are going to be long sometimes, especially if you are a walk-in. but I never had any problems coming in on time for my appointment. The most I ever had to wait was 30 minutes which is not a big deal to me. I understand that people get busy. Thank you guys for helping me so much with my recovery.
Always come here when I need.
I NEVER EVER do reviews but this place is so horrible I had too.. do not by any circumstances come here unless you are prepared to sit and wait for 2+ hours. This is my second appointment seeing the doctor and each time it was an unbearable wait and there’s no seats in the waiting room so you have to stand. 30+ people waiting to be seen. The physical therapy part is separate in the back and it’s quick no wait no complaints they are awesome but seeing the doctors don’t do it.. and then the doctor rushes you out so you waited 2+ hours for less then 5 mins of talking to the actual doctor.. what makes it worse is you can hear the doctor and his aids talking in the hallway sooooo unprofessional.. and the front desk lady all seem to hate their job extremely nasty attitudes from all of them.
I'm updating, almost 2 years in and 4 surgeries later .im feeling a lot better couldn't thank all of the staff enough for how they have treated me and cared for me ,THANKS. Been going for past 6 months and dealing with all the ladies at the front desk and my 2 doctors, I've had nothing but A great experience dealing with them all, they always give answers to my questions ,and the PT section is also top grade, you can have some helpful conversations and feel like there listening and care ,would definitely recommend to anyone who needs an orthopedic doctor!!!! I would like to thank them all, dealing with comp is a different story.
i never had a problem there. all of staff are great gina nicole kim jessica michelle . they do get a little overwhelmed on thursday and patients take it out on the staff. i sit in waiting room and here patients complain about the wait. i tell them that you dont understand dr. katsigiorgis has office hours in patchogue and shirley on same day and things come up it takes only 1 or 2 patients to go long to throw the whole day off. also it is a 15 or 20 minute drive between offices. him and his staff are all great if they werent i wouldnt drive almost 60 miles round trip from west islip 3 to 4 days a week to do therapy and to see drs. there. my last visit some woman was so impatient she cut in front of me to check out. her son tells her you just cut in front of that guy she shrugs it off. one last thing be patient its not the staffs fault the dr. gets backed up
I honestly don't understand all the bad reviews either. Brought my Mom here to seek relief for back pain, called on a Saturday, got a Monday appt, try doing that somewhere else. Now, remember, it does say walk ins welcome, so don't expect to be seen in 10 minutes. The girls are very nice and helpful, the waiting room is huge and clean, as well as the examination rooms and bathroom. Dr. Silverman saw my Mom and was really very helpful in putting her mind at ease, and offering different treatment options, as well as physical therapy. It also wasn't a hit and run kind of thing, he took his time and listened to her probably 20-25 minutes, and seemed genuinely concerned. Kudos to the staff of Island Musculoskeletal for a job well done.
Had 4 appointments over the last 4 months the fastest I was ever seen was 2.5 hours after my appointment time, today i outright walked out 3 hrs after appointment still not called as i watch a dozen people walk in after me come and go in much less time. I would suggest going anywhere else unless you dont mind assigning an entire day to sitting in their waiting room which is cramped and packed full no room to put your injured arms let's etc crutches or whatever reason you are visiting an orthopedic! Plain and simple dont schedule 30 people for the same time for 1 doctor only schedule what you can actually handle!
