Very kind owners and a beautiful camp ground! Having a camp site right on the ocean gave us a stunning view to wake up to. The firewood was dry and burned amazing, overall had a great experience staying here. Definitely recommend for camping or seasonal trailer stays. Nearby activities: Recommend to go into St Andrews and check out the historical areas
The experience started out great our first night. Great site and view. Issues arrived the next day when the owner came to our site and accused us of breaking all the rules. We were 4 adults that arrived from different parts of the province so we all had our own vehicles 4 cars. She also told us we were not allowed to have a tent up beside our tent-trailer. We told her it was only being used to store things, so she dropped it. Later that evening she arrived and accused us in a rude, disrespectful tone. It was completely uncalled for and caused a scene with many other guests watching it unfold. She told us again about the vehicles, to which we had already moved one. She yelled at us telling us to take our tent down, and we told her we will, and that it was now empty. Earlier she did NOT tell us to take it down. Rules about site capacity should be based on equipment, and not 4 adults to a site. I can guarantee most other sites and seasonal campers house more than 4 adults. She ended the conversation by trying to kick us out from the campsite, despite us trying to keep the conversation calm, and our neighbour's vouching that we were not causing harm, or being difficult guests. We could not leave if we had wanted to as drinks were consumed throughout the day. By the end of the conversation she stormed off. Overall the experience could have been wonderful. Management ruined our experience as they only care about their seasonal campers, and not weekend guests. I would not recommend.
Great campground and awesome staff. We stayed in tents with family along the shore sites. Bathrooms within good distance and clean. Seasonal campers friendly and helpful. Owners were happy to allow our dog to stay on site also. Will be back again.
Over nighters beware! We spent three nights at this camp ground. The sites where very small, our awning was almost touching the trailer beside us. Also, the overnight sites are in the middle of everything, and continually lit up by a giant flood light. Both pools were green and full of bugs, unsure if this was due to the recent rain. It was difficult to see the bottom. They were definitely not the crystal clear pools shown in photos. The owner came to our site Friday night, just shortly after quiet timeour bad. Our kids were inside the trailer and we had to door ajar to hear them. She then began yelling about how she could hear them from far away and it was quiet time! Also as there was a stranger on our lot, our dog started barking, again from inside the trailer. She presented as very upset with us. I closed the door and apologized. Then, Sunday night the owner was back again, this was earlier in the evening as they were having a dance. She came running onto our site and pointed at my son saying “IM LOOKING FOR THAT BOY!”, she was furious. She said he was riding his bike in an area he wasnt supposed to. It was in fact the hill next to the canteen, he had been riding there all weekend without incident. I found it extremely unprofessional and boarder-line inappropriate to chase my 10 yo son down in a car. What if he hadn’t come home? Would she have followed him into the bathroom? Or confronted him without his parents? The kids seemed to be who she was constantly complaining about. She should be dealing with the parents, no chasing down kids who are just riding their bike. Overall experience was poor. We will not be back. This seems like a campground that allows anything for seasonal campers but targets overnighters. Again, overnighters beware, keep an eye on your children as she will deal with them without your knowledge. And no biking around the canteen either, that was her latest rule. We could deal with the sites and the pools but she ruined the entire experience by being confrontational and unprofessional.
This our second time at this campground, we have found the owners and staff accommodating, courteous and hard working. Ever aspect of the park that we made use of was well maintained and clean. We would definitely return to this park again when we visit the area.Service: 5/5
The owner is a rude, disrespectful, entitled person. She treated us like garbage because we had 4 vehicles. we had 4 adults that met at the campsite… weren’t breaking any rules. She was ruthless, cried and treated paying customers like garbage. It is a beautiful site, but management is beyond terrible and ruined the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place because the owner Lee, is awful. Lee, treat people with respect and you will get it back the owner only respects seasonal sites. We almost got hit with fireworks and our dogs were scared. Yet, that was fine according to Lee. She could not approach us with respect, rather she instantly blamed and yelled for absolutely no reason.
Nice park, friendly atmosphere, everybody is so friendly and all the pools and playground and basketball courts are well maintained. Love coming up here to visit my parents and sister. Sorry not the greatest photo.Rooms: 4/5
We stayed in the cabins. Nice, clean and cozy. We had a great time and everybiody we talked to was very nice. A great spot to stay!
The accessibility was not very good but after an excellent discussion with Owners they now know there is not much cost to correct this. I believe this will be corrected quickly. Thank you for caring and listening it was a pleasure to stay at your amazing park Noteworthy details: Amazing
Review of a stay in August 2020 copied from another site after a friend had a similar experience. OVERALL: The layout of the park was alright. Lots of small sites in a tight space, pretty typical of many small field-camping campgrounds we’ve stayed in. There were two pools, which was nice, lots of room for swimming and giving everyone space. There is a beach that is lovely for watching sunsets. The sites we were given were very close to the front of the campground, which meant they were busy with traffic, but that can’t be helped at times. There was only a very small section of the park dedicated to overnight camping - I would estimate that 80% or more of the sites are seasonal. On the positive side, we were told that some people had parked facing each other in the pull-through sites we had been assigned, which allowed for a more friendly stay with my family who were staying in the other site. We appreciated the flexibility of the staff and opted to do this. Our biggest issue is that the staff/owners DO NOT enforce any rules with regard to seasonal campers. The seasonal residents roamed through our campsites a few times without so much as an excuse me. The owners allowed VERY LOUD music at all hours by a seasonal resident. It was so loud that it could be heard at the furthest end of the campground from the speakers - these residents were having a dance party and we were all invited, whether we liked it or not. The owners came by to ask if it was bothering us and we expressed concerns at the volume and asked how long it would go started at 6:45pm and this was around 7:45 - she said it usually ended around 11pm! Quiet hours were not enforced after that point either though. Residents wandered around the campground, including through our sites, bellowing and screaming at each other until well after midnight. Both of our parties had our windows closed and it was still enough to keep us up. When the music started up early again the next morning at a ridiculous volume, one of our party went to the office, only to be given a passive “we will talk to them” and a shrug. We ended up cutting our holiday short and leaving early because we were all having a terrible time.
