I am grateful to have gone to this school. It has some really great teachers, who helped shape my perspective based on Islamic principles, for the better. This school was exactly what I needed during a confused, turbulent time. It challenged me in a positive way that facilitated a lot of personal growth, and understanding.
Came out here from Calgary for my friend's nikkah. The venue was clean, spacious, and hospitable.
Nice place to study Islamic religion. Also, they have Qur'an halqa for kids and it is free.
This school cares more about "religion" than education. Female students are belittled, judged & silenced by staff, especially by female teachers. Students of the opposite gender are ridiculed for talking to one another because it's "haram"... great way to prepare students for the real world. I missed out on so much education by attending this school for 4 years. Public school is by far the better choice to this excuse for a high school on all accounts. As someone who now works with youth, I can't believe how this place gets away with treating students. Yelling, name-calling, embarrassing students for not understanding the material, silencing students who have questions with differing opinions... what a joke.
For 10 pm evening prayers: Isha +Taraweeh for rest of Ramadaan 2022: You need to be in the driveway by 940 pm at the latest. Check your GPS. If you are arriving after 940 pm, you will not be in time for the main hall. Parking and walking to main hall is at least 8 minutes. Athan is 950 pm Help others prepare, have everyone clean up after Iftaar starting at 9 pm in your homes or place of dawat. If everyone pitches in, then everyone can make it on time...
Been going there for prayer for many, many years. Moderate views, many community events, and good management.
The elementary school principal is not at all accommodating, she really need to act like a professional and should try to accommodate to the needs of the individual. Which she never did! I hope the school gets more professional in handling matters.
MashAllah, the facility and teachers are excellent representations of how a school should be run, however, lots of incidents of bullying go on at this institution which is saddening. The facilitators do an excellent job of combatting this epidemic, which plagues an otherwise spotless reputation.
Great Islamic School
Great school, I wish they had capacity to accommodate more students
