In February 1965, a little Italian Restaurant opened on South Washington Street by Keith Moon. In 1974, the Italian Moon was sold to Ken Towers and Dave Rubin. 44 years later, we are going strong and we have only you, our faithful customers, to thank!

** late review ** April 30 All the staff were very nice and friendly, even the ones work in the kitchen they were filling the buffet all the time. Aly was very special, she was always smiling,and friendly. M family and I were very happy, and satisfied with her service. She was a good model of hospitality. Thank you Aly and everyone for letting us build a very good memories at the restaurant. My wife said,” they will let us drive all that way from Canada just to have a meal from Italian moon”. The quality of food was perfect and very delicious. The flavour of every bite was unique. Professional Italian pizza makers. The creamy soup was the best. The salad bar was amazing. You have to try the fried chicken, it was really better than the fried chicken restaurants. The chicken coat was very crispy and it was tender from inside, really the taste was great. Bread sticks, and pasta was just perfect. Don’t leave before trying the ice cream. The place and the toilets were very clean. The overall experience; we were very satisfied with the visit and the food, we left very full. For sure I will visit the restaurant again.
We hsd buffet style! The food was cooked perfectly! Nothing to fancy but juicy and tender! Perfect for my little ones, and all the food would be perfect for my older ones! Will definitely be back again when we have all our babies with us! Kid-friendliness: My 3 year old LOVED the chicken and spaghetti, and I can safely say he is the pickiest eater when it comes to chicken.

This place has been around a long time when I first started going here Keith Moon owned it and it’s changed hands a few times still the.Still has the Great pizza that it always had. Great queso. Awesome waitresses and managers. Very very good. dine in takeout or delivery doesn’t matter.Recommended dishesHouse Special Pizza
I went for the spaghetti on the buffet. I also helped myself to some mashed potatoes with gravy and meatballs. I started with a nice big salad, thick cut cucumbers and other fresh diced veggies. The chicken soup was delicious with homemade noodles. If this stuff was not made from scratch I want the name of the company that makes it. Me and my wife added a queso with beef just because we were there. The atmosphere is as small town as it gets. Celebrating local high schools and the college. Celebrating this college of course makes it worldly because we have plenty of college athletes that have gone pro. This place is so pro Grand Forks it bleeds red river water. Which by the way was voted the best tasting in MN.
I could write a lengthy review but I'll keep it short. I went because I had a coupon for a free small personal pizza. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Pizza was good, very well balanced between cheese toppings and sauce; the crust was also good. Service at the restaurant was also very good considering it was towards the end of the night, we decided to tip even though it was free. I may have to stop back and try something else to see what more they have to offer. Overall good experience.
It pains me to give such a low review because the staff was really friendly. But the food was absolutely awful. The buffet consisted of old tasteless pizza and crusty lasagna. Definitely not worth $16 IMO.
I go there every Sunday night with friends because the food's so good.Food: 5/5
If you are looking for a place to have brunch on Sundays this is a good place. Children eat free on Sundays so that makes it easier for families to enjoy together. I love how they change their ice creams around. They had a lemon bar ice cream that was amazing. I haven't had that before and it was a refreshing treat. Kid-friendliness: Kids eat free on Sundays and Mondays
