Thanks to the Ace Hardware Store at Triphammer Mall for being such an amazing family-friendly place to shop! I stopped by to pick up an online order delivered to the store and ended up staying for almost an hour and buying canning jars while there because my toddler had such a great time. They had kid-sized shopping carts, two mini kitchens with wooden play food, free popcorn and mints, relaxing music, and a display about how to make your own laundry soap with ingredients for sale. I had a hard time extracting my daughter she was having so much fun! When I finally headed out to my car, an employee followed us out to bring my shopping cart back inside for me. And when he saw our dog in the car, he invited our dog to come inside next time. What a great place with friendly service!
Great selection, knowledgeable staff and terrific hours to grab the tools or materials you need to get the job done. Ace is "The Place" when I need it quickly and it has to be the right solution. The owner John is usually on site and is very involved in stocking the right solutions and providing excellent customers service everyday throughout the store. Stop in and be prepared for a very high level of quality, helpfulness, service and empowerment that you just won't get from a big box store.
I walked into Ace Hardware N. Triphammer Rd and was greeted by this guy who was extremely welcoming and down-to-earth friendly. There was no salesman type feeling, rather more a like a guy who was genuinely interested in me as a person with an ability to connect on a friendship-like level. I wasn't there as a customer, but as a the "Google Guy" hoping to bring the Google Street View project inside the store. Quite often I get treated like a telemarketer by businesses, but the staff and the owner of this hardware store treated me like just a normal guy. Within minutes it seemed like these guys were either great friends or even close bothers, and I felt like they welcomed me into that same "family". As I did my thing I took notice of a customer that came into the store and that they treated this guy the very same way - a pure and genuine friendship-level respect and interest. Since leaving the store that day I have recanted my experience with these guys several times and I honestly look forward to returning as a customer as I know without question that I will be treated as a friend and get that kind of service. Honestly, all businesses really should act like these guys do - first rate all the way! Please - go to this store and you'll see what I mean.
I was greeted in a genuine way soon after entering the store. Having my toddler in one arm and eyeing a large garbage can the gentleman offered to help. Couldn't ask for better service, the trash can was waiting for me at the register after I finished shopping. He even offered to help me to my car.
I've always thought ACE hardware stores are excellent, and I am sad this one is not able to put up a very large sign to advertise its presence apparently it's a rule of the Triphammer Mall. Their store brand quality is very good, the people are knowledgeable, can answer home repair questions, and are friendly. I do recommend it, Agway across the street is fine but ACE is fun to walk around in and look at things and remember things you need, more of the old-fashioned ambiance but well-stocked.
I have a couple of questions I’ve tried to call you guys a couple times and I’ve had no answer so has my boyfriend we want to know if you have bib overalls for plus size man we would like to know this instead of having to drive 30-40 mins to see whether or not you have them Thank you
Very good selection and staff that is very welcoming and always willing to go the extra mile. For instance, they helped me cut a thick aluminum plates I purchased at the store into little pieces.
This is my neighborhood store. I used to shop a huge chain store but this Ace brings ease to my home and hardware shopping. They know me as a customer and are always helpful with purchases and to solve problems.
I did not realize the place even existed, as it is located in the back end of the plaza. Went there for something simple and was greeted by a young lady who referred me to a young guy who helped with what I needed. The is a fairly large store with lots of stuff, but with friendly service... similar to the old days of the old fashioned specialty hardware stores like Inderlied Endicott, Don Wright Hhds, Martin's Elmira, Harding's Elkland, etc., but with a more modern appearance and stock.
What I like best about Ace is the customer service. The poeple are super helpful, know the store and are really nice. Prices are also competitive.
