A good school for kids. I liked the way the school divided the children by grades. Much of my time was spent in the cafeteria in the hopes of getting the best looking burger. If I have one complaint, it was that the school practically forced you into attending FCA or whatever it was called. This was very awkward for non-Christian students. Your other option was to go to the cafeteria for breakfast but they would not allow you to stay unless you paid for a meal. You couldn't just wander around the school till class started either. Growing up attending this school, I always felt they were trying to force Christianity on me in the mornings because they offered no alternatives. Considering the few minority students we had, they should have put something into place in an effort to allow freedom of religion. In my time attending Iuka Middle School, they also spent money on a new gym that seemed a waste of resources. It was much to small to host sporting events because pulling the bleachers out would cover the court. Using it purely for a musical/acting event was also bad because the stage was depressingly small. I never really saw the point to the building. I wish that the new gym served a purpose besides being an expensive kid play area.
Great School.
