The story of this establishment begins a long time ago. John Pfeifer established John Edwards Salon in 1979 and it was originally located above Bagel Cafe. After 17 years at that location, he moved over to 6529 Trigo Rd. and has continued a legacy of personalized hair care for students and locals for over 35 years. On October 1st, 2014, he sold the salon to Katherine Pepe, a longtime stylist and friend. Since then, there have been many big changes here! Katherine has remodeled the space, brought in great new staff, and modernized the bookkeeping by adding an online appointment system. We are now known as Isla Vista Hair Company, but we promise the same great service and friendly atmosphere you know and love will always remain. The staff at IVHC are highly skilled professionals, dedicated to providing you with the look you desire, and we are able to help with all your questions, concerns, and requests. We are looking forward to seeing you on your next visit!
