Been a Ivars customer since the 1970s. I like their style of fried fish, clam strips too as they are cornmeal battered vs beer batter so they are less greasy. My go to is pictured. Sometimes I’ll splurge and add chowder to my order. Glad for the Issaquah location as it’s not too far from home.Food: 4/5

Clean restaurant/ very friendly crew. Came out on 7/8/23 want to acknowledge the guys working that night Service was fast. You can usually tell how good they are by how many people are waiting on food. I usually go to the one on Coulon Park but summer time can get crazy. Might be worth the drive to come out to Issaquah. Fresh & Delicious! I am so happy I choose this establishment today. The Cajun shrimp and Alaskan Cod were amazing & fresh! Didn’t leave disappointed. The staff is super friendly & helpful! Thank You for awesome customer service!
It's a staple, so you can't go wrong eating here. The clam chowder is excellent as is the fish and chips. I'm not sure if the tartar sauce is house-made but that was also really good.Food: 4/5
Update: still great customer service and clean facility... but the size of the fish is getting smaller and smaller! My family and I have eaten at several Ivar's over the years. This one is a little above average since their customer service was awesome. Only complaint based on our last visit is that I had to pay something like $2.00 extra for a small side of coleslaw that tasted like it had been made 2 weeks ago. I didn't mention it to the staff since they were so busy with other customers.
Another Ivar's fav spot. Quick checkout, friendly staff and food is fresh as always at Ivar. Our favorites are Fish Tacos, Fish Sandwich , Grilled Salmon plate with grilled salmon, wild rice and delicious corn bread & Clam Chowder. The Halibut plate was good but the Halibut was a smaller peice than a salmon plate dinner
I am not sure what all these reviews are but this is a horrible restaurant, it's filthy most of the time. The staff are undertrained and and unengaged. This was once a great place. They had good staff, and the restaurant was always clean. What happened? New owners? Greedy owners? Certainly not involved.Food: 2/5
Thrilled with Ivars in Issaquah. At a time when so many local fast food places here are CLOSED except for takeout, Ivar’s is open for dining. Great fish and chips of course, friendly staff, new and clean dining area. Thank you Ivar’s for what you’re doing. I’ve always loved your food and now I have another reason to support you.
Even during the lunch rush, the food got to me quickly. Generally that is not an indicator of freshness, however this was an exception! Clam chowder was hot and fresh, and the cod was crispy and tender. Overall, an amazing dining experience with excellent customer service.
