It's a large and well maintained park. The trail is nice and it's cool due to the shade provided by tall trees. It was great to walk with my dog. When walking along the creek, you can see Alligatorsnot often, turtles, small crabs and snakes... Many people were running, walking or riding bicycles. The park has a wide lawn where you can enjoy a picnic, and everything is peaceful. I will definitely be back!
Large playground area for children, with fence, soft surface and modern play equipment. Lots of large umbrella to protect children from the sun, including all the toddler play structure. Free parking adjacent, many benches and picnic tables. 2 baby swings 2 kid swings. Only downside is that they park is within wetlands so lots of small flies Picnic area: Dozens of tables under pavilion, shaded, parking adjacent
Great park! They hold their yearly seafood festival which is amazing for the entire family. Lovely play area for the kids with restrooms. You can hear and see the train pass by there. Some people go fishing near the stream. There’s a walking trail in the back near the wetland center.
Great park with sun and shade many options of things to do bathrooms and pavilions
This park is amazing! There is a kid park and some historic monuments at the beginning of the park. The trail is great for walking, jogging or riding bike. There is a combination of paved and unpaved trail. The majority of the trail is paved. The observation boardwalks or bridges are in good conditions, BE CAREFUL when passing your hands over the rails you might get a splinter. There are picnic areas around the trail and some excercise obstacles. BEWARE of snakes and gators. Overall, I enjoyed my time here with my dog.
The walking trail is amazing. It is so nice to have a place I can be outside but still in the coolness of all the shady trees. Then park really has so much to offer and I will be back for my daily walk as soon as they fix whatever is wrong with the bathrooms! Lol Restrooms: Usually very clean but they have been closed for two days. Dog-friendliness: They have the little stations throughout the park where you can get waste bags and throw them away. Picnic area: Lovely
One of my favorite places to go and just walk and have some peace. It’s quiet and the 3 mile loop around park is great for exercise. It’s mostly shaded so you can even walk in the heat of the day without dying. Keep and eye out for the wildlife: fun place to go alligator watching!
Beautiful path. Very nice and fun playground. Well maintained.
Great place for anyone and everyone! I take my dogs on the walking trail loop and it is always so clean and safe! It's a great place to get outside and stretch yours and kids legs for a nice walk! I'm always in awe of the local flora and fauna that you see along the paths.
Very nice walking trail. Mostly paved but a few gravel areas so careful with strollers or bikes. Overall beautiful views and mostly shaded walking trail. Dogs are allowed on a leash and you must clean up after your pet! Plenty of rest stops along the trail if the 3.2 miles is a bit much for you to go without stopping.
