Gary at Purse Funeral Home Adrian location was very helpful with planning our mother’s funeral. We got top notch service at a fair price. I highly recommend.
Gary, of the Adrian location, was wonderful to work with from the beginning to the end. Excellent communication and willingness to meet all of our needs. Everything went so smoothly using Purse Funeral Home - Adrian. Thanks again!
I cannot begin to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude over the service at Purse Funeral Home. My Dad's passing was emotional on its own, but during the stay at home order, it is was more difficult as we were not able to be with family and friends. Purse Funeral Home went above and beyond any of our expectations to ensure our family's needs were met in this unusual time. The peace it gave to my family will always be remembered and appreciated.
We were very pleased with Gary and the staff at Purse Funeral Home in Adrian. I'm so glad we chose this funeral home and this location. It was the first time we have had a funeral here. Gary, the owner was very nice, informative and so accommodating. He worked around our schedule, which was nice, giving us plenty if time to make decisions for songs, memory cards, Moms clothing, book marks, etc. So many decisions! We really did appreciate him letting us, have our Mothers funeral exactly the way we wanted, and we were very specific with everything. We had lots of pictures and songs for a slideshow, and wanted bookmarks made, which he did without hesitation. The funeral home was nice, clean, and the price was really good. Thank you Gary again, for helping us during this difficult situation. The Hein-Dusseau Family
I can’t say enough about this funeral home . My brother recently passed at a young age which obviously we did not prepare for mentally or financially. L My mother has some serious medical conditions that prevent her from being able to drive or fully understand or remember most things. In addition to all of the emotional stress of losing a loved one at a young age, planning and my brothers primary decision maker being unable to make sound decisions , I live hours away. To make matters worse, there were several hiccups if you will when it came to my mother filling out the paperwork which left me even more sad and stressed never a good combination. When I first called about the cremation services we couldn’t afford a funeral I was treated with the utmost kindness and heartfelt condolences. The paperwork was sent several times with flaws. With every flaw “Paul” was very patient and made sure that it was done correctly and never became impatient. After the cremation was completed, I received heart felt Sympathy from “Gary.” Gary agreed you meet me to pick up the ashes on a weekend however I was unable to make it due to work and other pressing issues and decided to have the ashes delivered via. Postal mail yes, I know that’s a horrible way to receive a loved ones remains. A short time after sending my mother address “Gary” contacted me to say that he would personally deliver the remains to my mother at her house. That’s not something I expected but I will appreciate for years to come. As I said, my brother was cremated so I don’t know anything about the services. However, I do know heartfelt sympathy when I see it and if the services are catered to like a cremation, I can assure you that you will feel like an angel lifted the sadness and stress during a loss. Thank You Paul and Gary , your kindness and huge hearts will be spoken of forever.
My experience could not have been better. My brother died on Dec 19 2017 at Harper hospital. We did not have much money and it was Christmas time. Gary Purse was the man I dealt with a no nonsense type of guy, and seemed to be a straight shooter. The cost was 695.00 for a cremation. No extra charges unless you wanted some upgrades. We could not afford any. I have got to say other places had extra fees that they just don't want to tell you about. Gary picked up my brother on Dec 21 from Harper hospital in Detroit. By Dec 23 I was able to pick up my brother from the funeral home for Christmas. It all was so smooth and my family was thankful to purse funeral home for the wonderful and respectful job that they did. We will be forever grateful. The West family
Pricing was good for just a cremation. Although Gary gave a lot of grief to get the death certificate. Only got the certificate after threatening a bad review. Dad died on the 30th of March and only got the certs on the 19th of April. One document is all that was needed.
Barry and his Associate came to our home this morning due to the tragic loss of a terrific Wife, Mother and Friend; and they were very kind, respectful, and caring! They made me feel at ease as they transferred my Mom from her hospital bed to their gurney. They were gentle and took great care to ensure she was covered properly with a beautiful blanket that they provided! Later when we met at the funeral home we recieved the same quality of service. They did not push any ideas on us and allowed us to take our time in choosing what we felt we needed. They answered every question we had even the ones we couldn't get out yet lol. I must add here their prices are really great too. I highly recommend Purse Funeral Home for your dearly departed loved one, as they treat your loved one like they are part of their family! Thank You, Barry and Staff
A Huge Thanks to Purse funeral home in Adrian. They are very accommodating, friendly, easy to work with. In these trying times where you cannot/should not be leaving your home - we were able to have the funeral services streamed online on Facebook so anyone wanting could join in to view the services. We greatly appreciate all that was done!! Thanks Gary
I've had number of family members and friends pass over the years. I've also worked as a Hospice Nurse for many years. Purse Funeral Home is by far, the most compassionate and accomodating that I have ever dealt with. We were treated with respect and dignity when my Sister passed. I will always reccomend Purse.
