J Iverson Riddle Developmental Center

I worked there as a trainer from 2005 to 2012. I loved this place and I'm back now as a traveler. They need to pay more to not only nurses but trainers. I would love to be permanent but it will never happen because of the pay and the hours. Hope to see JIRDC move forward.

Vocational Rehabilitation of Burke County got me a job here as an Intern with the Carpentry Maintenance Crew for 3 Months. I honestly did not think I would make it after the first week, but everything changed because all the Co-Workers and Bosses were really NICE and UNDERSTANDING of what I could and could not do. I learned a lot about myself by doing hands-on things to help the different workers there get their work orders completed. It will definitely not be the last time I visit or maybe even work again at JIRDC.

Kind caring staff, knowledgeable doctors. They treat their patients with respect and dignity. They set up the best Christmas lights I've ever seen. So worth the visit during the holidays. Don't forget to bring a couple of dollars to leave in the donation box at the end of the holiday light display!

My uncle has lived at this facility since her was teenager and is now over 60. The staff has always been kind and showed him greatest amount of love and dignity. Amazing facility and staff.

Very nice Christmas displays for a donation. More theme cutout displays than lights around the large campus.

Went for job interview. But wasn't lucky enough to get the job. Maybe next time.

I work here and I couldn't ask for a better place to work at. Seriously.
