This interior design store is a treasure trove for lovers of black, white, and gold home furnishings. I was delighted to find a seasonal pumpkin latte candle, adding a cozy touch to their stylish offerings. What caught my attention even more was their candle making classes, priced at just $50 per person. It's a fantastic opportunity to get creative and craft some personalized décor.

I want to my express my gratitude and appreciation to Jason at J. Michael Scott Interiors for helping me accomplish my goal of re-inventing my living and dining room areas. I wandered into his store on La Cienega one afternoon and was so impressed with his shop and how he set up his displays and merchandise. He has a knack for knowing what looks good where. He is very hard working and won't stop until he finds the right match! He helped me pick out fabric for my sofas and answered my many questions about the look I wanted and how to obtain it. I knew what I wanted but needed help finding the right fabric where the normal consumer does not have access to. Walk into Jason Scott Design and I guarantee you'll find what you are looking for. The bonus is he's available for consulting appointments in your own home! He's very reasonable and so well worth it. I love my place again!! Whether it be re-arranging your own stuff or finding new furniture, pillows, accessories, window treatments or flooring, Jason will be able to spin a new fresh look to your room and make it so inviting you'll be amazed and love all the compliments that come your way!!

A few years ago, I was looking for an area rug for my new home, but couldn't find what I was looking for locally. I was thrilled to finally find a beautiful rug at J Michael Scott Interiors. The rug still looks great after 7 years, two energetic children, and a large rottweiler. I was so pleased with my purchase that I returned to buy a beautiful rustic coffee table, large farmhouse-style dining room table, and two gorgeous high-quality chairs. I have received several compliments on all of the pieces. I most recently returned to the store to find that the owner started his own candle line and they smell heavenly! I purchased three candles and will definitely be back to get more! Thank you, J Michael Scott, for providing quality products and great customer service.

Fantastic showroom. Great selection of very unique pieces and the most amazing smelling candles that Jason himself makes. He’ll even do custom ones I went in to the store not expecting to find what I was looking for. I was blown away by the choices and options available. Jason was incredibly helpful, friendly and made me feel like the most important client he has. I’ll definitely be back!!!

This place is AMAZING! Even if you don't need interior decorations, look around because the layout of the store is beautiful. I came for the candles! They are unique and smell heavenly. They are handmade 100% soy wax candles. I leave with no less than 2 every visit! The owner is helpful and will answer any questions you have, but also let you browse independently. There are always specials going on, so don't be shy and take a peek in this store.

SCAM! I have purchased lots of furniture over the years from independent stores and NEVER did I have a merchant refuse to return any of my money. Never! Please note - I have NONE OF THE MERCHANDISE CHARGED TO TO MY CREDIT CARD IN MY POSSESSION I'm out of $853.85. Caution! Do not sign a design contract with or give your credit card number to this guy. Tell him to you will come to the store or send someone to represent you and ask for a receipt. He will charge your card WITHOUT speaking to you, and he will not provide an itemized receipt for the charges which becomes your word against his, and he will doctor up receipts for Mastercard. Once I said "yes to pictures of items" to order, a 50% non-refundable DEPOSIT was charged to my credit card REGARDLESS if I changed my mind or DID NOT LIKE THE item in person; it was mine. He also refused to refund money for an item which was on the floor in the store. Additionally, he overcharged me $20 for two vases, I paid $49 EACH, and the tags read $39 - I have included a picture. When you ask him for a receipt to review itemized card charges, he will tell you that it must be in your spam folder but you received all his other emails, and as common courtesy, he NEVER emails receipts just excuses. Most designers I have worked with send an itemized bill or pending itemized invoice AND WAIT FOR YOUR VERBAL OR WRITTEN EMAIL, TEXT APPROVAL before charging your card to finalize the deal. There were five separate charges on four different days, but only one invoice with all costs was submitted to Mastercard to appeal my chargeback request. My bank agreed with me, and his processes are not standard merchant procedures. However, oh well, he must need the money more than me - well that is a given no reputable store would charge your card for 50% deposit and refuse to refund ANY OF YOUR MONEY used to purchase the items. Alternatively, he must be used to dealing with individuals with endless funds. He offered $600 if I take down my honest review. People need to be warned of pedator store owners. Thanks Google and Yelp for the platform to share my horrible experience with this store owner. BUYERS BE AWARE - the information shared is detailed and honest. Don't let this happen to you.
