He was equipped with his medical degree which he had acquired from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville, Virginia. He continued his foray in the field of medicine through his residency in internal medicine, a training he conducted at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospitals in Charleston, South Carolina. As he explored medicine and its many facets, Dr. J.W. Randolph Lawson discovered his passion within the challenging field of cardiology.
