JackRabbit encourages runners to feel like they are part of a comminuty, and they frequently organize community runs and host events for related groups. The store is small and shoppers must park on the road or in lots in the neighborhood. However, the store only carries top quality merchandise. This means that prices tend to be high, so you must be prepared to pay more than you would at larger sports chain-stores. A good selection of running shoes and attire are available for purchase. Quality running glasses are for sale in many colors and frame designs. They also sell the best sandals and flip flops around for runners to wear after they finish a big race. Serious runners would probably find what they need at this store. Service is helpful and friendly, and truly make you feel like part of the local running community even if you are a newcomer passing through.
Neat little store with a surprisingly large assortment of good running shoes. Jason was super helpful and friendly. I described the kind of running i was into and the kind of foot support I required and he picked out 3-4 different models to try out - all of which fit brilliantly!
It's impossible for me to simply browse the items in this store. My Friday visit will be my last visit because their sales staff are just too aggressive. I clearly stated that I just wanted to look around, but that was repeatedly ignored by the sales person. I was constantly peppered with questions and dragged to items that they tried to upsell. I was given a ridiculous "physics" example about a dropped golf ball and how it equated to my walking stride in order to get me to buy some recovery sandles. I didn't appreciate his misunderstanding of kinetic energy. Your bad information could injure someone! I don't appreciate my 30 plus years of running and walking experience being ignored and disrespected. Especially by someone who hasn't been alive as long as my experience. The store is nicely organized and clean. The items are mostly priced on the high side. Other retailers will have similar items at lower prices. They do have a reasonably priced clearance section. There is a good assortment of sports nutrition. These are priced equivalently to other retailers.
A great little store in Wayland Square with a change in the air because of their recent rebranding of Jackrabbit. Jackrabbit is a running store chain located in New York City and they are well known for their expertise in running, triathlon, and various other road based sports. It is great to see a second running store in the Rhode Island area, especially Providence. Their knowledge of how shoes and inserts work together is important. The employees are not afraid to say they do not know enough, they will work to find an answer that the customer feels comfortable with. That is a real valuable skill, especially since people passionate about running can make decisions that can shorten their running career. Jackrabbit Providence made me feel comfortable with being safe and preventing further injury. I respect them for this and will be coming back to give them some of my money because of that reason.

Super knowledgeable about runners gait, shoe structure, inserts, and advice for runners. I will definitely be back when I need my next pair of running shoes!
I don't actually HATE this store. But, it is NOT OPEN as of Easter weekend. Asked the locals and they agreed it had been closed.
Great service and excellent knowledge of all the products. I wont go anywhere else but here for my running needs!!!!

Just an FYI -- I drove out here and the shop isn't here. I called and the number is dead. Seems like it's out of business.
