In 1966, Jacksonville Bookstore opened its doors for the first time "Uptown
on the Square" in Jacksonville, AL. In 2010, the bookstore moved to its new
location on 302 Mountain Street Northwest, across from the Jacksonville State
University stadium. The new location has provided customers with easier access
and better parking. The extra space also means a wider variety of items in stock,
no matter what you are looking for, the Jacksonville Bookstore has it.
And while the times may have changed and the location as well, one thing
remains the same: the courteous and knowledgeable service the bookstore
shows to its customers.
Every semester, hundreds of Jacksonville State University students, faculty
and staff flock to Jacksonville Bookstore to find new and used textbooks, course
materials and supplies at unbeatable prices. The bookstore goes the extra mile
by offering extended hours to help meet the needs during the back-to-school
rush as well as offering a buy back and rental program for students.
But more than just serving the university, they serve the community as well.
