The Herbarium of Jacksonville State University is a scientific and educational resource promoting the study of the plant life of Alabama and beyond.
The JSU Herbarium was established in the late 1960’s by Dr. Ken E. Landers and Dr. Jerry A. Clonts, and early collections primarily documented the flora of Northeastern Alabama. Throughout the 1980’s until the present, JSU professors, students, and colleagues grew the herbarium to over 60,000 specimens.
