"KEEPERS OF THE VALLEY"

Description

The Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Dept has proudly provided constant 24/7 service since its founding in 1890.
We are an all volunteer crew of approximately 30 firefighters, handling various emergencies on a moments notice.
Services incude: Fire Protection, education and suppression- structural and wildland; Rescue and EMS assistance; and all other community emergencies.
The firefighters have meetings twice a month: second Monday- Business meeting, fourth Monday- Training meeting.
Our firefighter training exceeds state standards; which mandates firefighters have at least the 36 hour State Certified volunteer fiirefighter certification and get at least 18 hours of continuing education per year.
