Beautiful, quiet, and serene with a fantastic Mountain View. Medium-sized and mostly flat with some very gradual hills. Lots of wildlife squirrels, birds, butterflies. Once you step into the park, you feel like you're all alone. Wish there were more benches or picnic tables. But the trees are huge, so there's plenty of shade. They are surrounded by wood chips, so you might want to bring a blanket if you're planning on having a picnic. There is a waking path that curves around the park, as well as a doggy bag dispenser. There is also a restroom, but it's on the opposite side of the park from the parking lot. No playground and parking lot only has space for 8 cars. Off of a main road, so no street parking, but you could turn into a nearby neighborhood or the elementary school next to the park. What I love most about it is its right off the freeway but usually empty. Very peaceful.
This park was a nice place to stop on a long road trip to stretch our legs. It was a gorgeous place.
Very lovely park. It's spacious and has plenty of grass and shade trees. There's a long walking/bike path connected to the park as well and it's close to the river so you can see cool wildlife such as California quail. Now for why I only gave 4 stars: it wasn't crowded this time but the parking lot was tiny so I can see that being an issue. I also had to drive far out of my way when leaving to find a place to do a uturn. The most annoying though was farther down the bike path was absolutely covered in doggy doo doo. Come on people! I've often walked with multiple dogs and a cat and still manage to clean up after ourselves. It's just common courtesy. I cleaned up 10 piles of poop, a mask and a plastic bottle. Do better.
It's a nice park. I pass through it often on my walks. Lots of space here. The bathrooms are clean. It would be a good place for a picnic. The only issue is sometimes people have their dogs off the leash.
The park itself is great for a quiet time while lots of green is around, but I have it 3 stars as I had a bad experience, twice, when the sprinklers started to work in the middle of the day, while we are sitting on our blanket!! In addition, if you will walk there, even at noon, you will see that lots of areas are super wet, and you find yourself looking for a better less wet way in the grass. Very weird why they manage the water system like that.
Beautiful place for a walk or run.
This park is just BEAUTIFUL, wanted to find a cute park to wait at for my Six Flags reservation time and stopped here for a small picnic. It was so green, bathrooms clean, and so many pretty sights to see!
Adjacent to a planned track home community .Built And renovated in the 1980's/ 1990s, the park is spacious and welcoming. I don't remember seeing any barbecue pits. See pictures It overlooks beautiful rolling hill vistas which is typical of the Santa Clarita area. You definitely don't feel like you are in Los Angeles County up here. It feels more like Ventura County. It is 20 minutes from the immediate San Fernando Valley urban towns.
Nice safe family park. Not busy. Just a place to bring blanket and take a break.
Nice park but it's infested with ants.
