Jake's is a family owned, local pizza restaurant in Mankato.

Description

Jake’s Pizza has been a southern Minnesota favorite for over 45 years. Our ingredients are made from scratch using family recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation.

We make our dough fresh daily starting by sprinkling baker’s yeast over warm water. Our pizza sauce is made with our special family seasoning to give it a unique taste. To top off our pizza, we have 2 tons of low-fat Wisconsin mozzarella cheese made exclusively for us every month.

My wife ordered a Italian Poor Boy. We couldn't believe the size of it. Huge!! My son and I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. It was very good. It's a very nice pizza joint.Food: 5/5
Stopped here because it was close to my hotel and what can I say the thin crust pizza did not disappoint. perfect consistent of soft and crunchy. The tomatoes sauce was delicious not overpowering of herbs. they do not go light on pepperonis. The only thing I did not like were the Buffalo wings very soggy and soft definitely have had better. Prices are fair. Very large location One big thing you order your food first then you can sit down. A efficient way to run a business but difficult for someone that is new. Definitely recommend this place for pizza you won’t be disappointed.
For a self serve pizza place, not bad. Pizza was flavorful and seemed to be made with fresh ingredients. Crust was cooked well. Service was ok... tables and restrooms were clean. My salad was massive, but nothing special to write home about. I asked for buffalo sauce for my salad and was given bbq sauce. Checked receipt and it had Buffalo sauce called out. Frankly, it wasn't bad, just nothing to say 'I want to go back'. Domino's or Papa John's delivery is better...
Was there an hour before closing and waited a few minutes for someone to come out and help us even tho they could see us and they were cleaning up. I felt like they were irritated until they found out I had preordered and wasn't eating in the dining room. Thin crust was so delicious!Food: 4/5
1st pizza was made wrong. Went back, 2nd pizza was thankfully made correctly but barely had cheese on it, toppings fell right off pizza dough as they just sprinkled what little cheese they put on, on top of toppings. Wjen you get a house special ya kind of need the cheese to help hold the pizza topping on. Every server was in back, first time I went in to pick up my pizza I had to wait 10 min before I was even helped. 2nd time server was at front, came back and told me it would 10 min... 20 min later finally walked out with my food.
Great food, had a birthday party there. Had to clean the tables ourselves they were all full of old food from the day before. Otherwise pizza and everything was good.Food: 5/5
Excellent pizza and service here! I don't come here as often as I used to. But whenever I do get here they never disappoint
Got my pizza and cheese bread delivered…. The toppings on the pizza were completely off the pizza, it was cold along with the cheese bread, and they didn’t cut the pizza. Pretty easy to make pizza and when you spend 25$ on a small pizza and some cheese bread it’d be nice to get your moneys worth.
Amazing pizza here. It’s a mankato classic, along with Pagliais. It’s an awesome environment here as you can watch them make your pizza, which I did as a little kid, and run to the window to grab the pizza once they call your number.
Jake's is always a good place to hang with friends and family. Best pizza in town!!Food: 5/5
