Two star rating to appreciate the hardwork done by college students in kitchen and while serving and the investment made by the owner in this restaurant. Snacks are reasonably priced and the quality of snacks matches the price as well i.e substandard. Pao bhaji ki bhaji was like daal and had a weird taste. Taste is not that good.
Good food and service. I don't know why people are complaining about the decor, service and quality. It's a Fast Food place not fine dining. Yeah they use disposable plates, cups and utensils but the plates are thick and the cutlery is more than strong enough to eat the food they have. This place serves you at the table if they can. What other fast food place does that? Owner/Manager came to follow up with us on our food. Definitely intend on coming back to try more. We had Pani Puri, Dabela, Ragda Patties, Kachori Chaat and mango lassi. Just a watch out that i can handle my spice and I found it to be quite spicy.
I ordered - masala dosa - butter pav bhaji - butter tawa pulav - samosa chaat At $4-6 a dish I wasn't sure what to expect lol. Overall the portion and taste were decent. It had a street food feel and was moderately spicy "Canadian spicy". I've probably had better Indian street food that had that WOW factor though. Breakdown: Dosa had a good texture and wasn't soggy. Rice was nothing too special but cooked perfectly and would get again. The bread / butter pav is probably not the best item to order for delivery good to eat fresh, as it steamed up a bit during delivery but that's normal. Chaat was soo filling. I thought my samosa chaat looked more like padri chaat but who knows. Nothing stood out but maybe the dosa! Everything was also hot which was probably the most impressive part haha. Ordered through SkipTheDishes, it was a good experience since there's free delivery and it's a change from the usual butter chicken type dishes. Items were all well packed by the restaurant. If you were worried about the low ratings regarding service and ambience, maybe just do take-out or delivery.
I wish I could give NO STARS. came in with high expectations, walked out with utter disappointment. When these guys were in Mississauga, they were really good and the place used to be clean too. Now, their new place is sheer disappointment. The least you expect is a smile at the counter which seems to be missing for miles. Food tastes really bad, coupled with slow service. I've made it a point not to drive here again. 1Pav bhaji was missing onions and lime. This is basic. The only thing good on the plate was the pav. I guess you couldn't screw that up.

REALLY SLOW SERVICE. Most of the menu is street food, however it's subpar. Took over 2 hours for food. Customers are really patient
Nice food good prices. Good tastes good and authentic
The menu is awesome, so refreshing to have authentic regional fast food from india. I had a bunch of different treats from the menu, and all we're very yummy and surprising. The service WAS slow, and I think with their prices they need to focus more on quality control. The reviews here are unfortunate but probably accurate taken with a grain of salt.
The food is amazing. Really tastes like authentic Indian street food! The people working there are super friendly and nice. The place does tend to get busy on evenings and weekends and thus the service is slower, however that goes for any restaurant, especially one with a smaller staff. I can understand that the location isn't the greatest, but the quality of food definitely compensates for that! Would definitely recommend Jallssa!
Good place for quick grabs, if you are looking for Indian street food.
