Dr. James T. Aris obtained his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 1987 from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. To stay current in a dynamic industry, he maintains professional memberships with Penn Club of New York, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Connecticut State Dental Society, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In recognition of his outstanding performance in the field of general and cosmetic dentistry, he has been included into the Leading Physicians of the World, a premier publication of the International Association of Health Care Professionals (IAHCP).
Dr. James T. Aris was also recognized as a Top General and Cosmetic Dentist Wilton by the International Association of Dentists. A Dawson Dentist, he is also the past President of the Greater Norwalk Dental Society. He has published articles in the Wilton Bulletin Dental Update and is regularly found speaking in the community on the importance of dental health, including recognizing and treating periodontal disease. His research interests include his enrollment with the Dawson Academy, as well as his involvement in E4D technology and digital impressioning, designing and fabricating metal-free onlays, inlays, crowns, and veneers within a day. He also continually researches implant technology, including the CAMLOG Implant System, a leading system for implant and restorative dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Aris enjoys sailing, skiing, and spending time with his family. In addition to his clinical and speaking functions, he is also actively involved in various philanthropic initiatives. In 2013, he and the team at Wilton Center Family Dentistry volunteered their professional services and expertise in E4D technology at the Connecticut Mission of Mercy, which held a 2-day dental clinic providing free dental care for more than 2,000 patients. The E4D equipment was provided by Henry Schein, a long-time supporter of the Connecticut Mission of Mercy and a worldwide distributor of dental equipment. E4D's high-speed laser makes a digital impression of the preparation and proximal teeth to create an interactive 3D image. The image is sent through wired or wireless connections to the Milling Center to fabricate the restoration on-site. Moreover, Dr. James T. Aris is a member of the Wilton Kiwanis Club and also supports Smile Train.
