Dr. James W. Vann graduated with an honors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri- Columbia in 1986, and he received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1990. The year 2017 marks 27 years in practice and 25 years in business for Dr. Vann and VisionArts Eyecare Center in Fulton, MO. Over the years Dr. Vann has received many awards for his innovative approach to eye care and business practices. His most notible awards include being chosen as a 2015 CooperVision Best Practice and receiving the 2015 Best in Patient Experience award as part of the Transitions Innovation Awards program. Dr. Vann is also a member of the Transitions Optical Pro Forum.
Dr. Vann puts a strong focus on the prevention of eye disease, and to support that focus, he obtained his certification as a Health Practitioner by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and also as a Health Coach by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
