Janesville Consolidated School District
JCSD is a progressive NE Iowa school district committed to student achievement and opportunity. Student achievement typically exceeds State and AEA267 proficiency averages in all content areas and grade levels.
In addition to extensive on-site programming, JCSD students access programming via on-line courses, ICN, Waverly Shell-Rock High School, Hawkeye Community College, University of Northern Iowa, Wartburg College, and Allen Hospital.
JCSD is nearing completion of nearly $4 million in facility renovations, as well as extensive upgrades to technological infrastructure. Implementation of mobile learning is currently underway via iPad labs at the elementary and middle school levels. A 1:1 student lap top initiative for students in grades 6-12 is due to roll out in August 2012.
Other initiatives currently being considered include the expansion of High School Spanish to grades K-12, as well as programming in virtual reality (VREP).
