Jared Weber is the founder of Jared R. Weber Law, a private law practice in Orange City, Iowa. Jared R. Weber law focuses on, but is not limited to criminal defense, estates and taxation, divorce and civil litigation for clients in Northwest Iowa.
Prior to working as a defense attorney, Weber studied and graduated cum laude with a concentration in Criminal Law and Procedure from Creighton University Law School Omaha. Weber has considerable experience defending serious and complex criminal matters, as well as extensive knowledge of the area’s criminal justice system and criminal defense bar.
While attending law school, Weber clerked for the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Omaha, Neb. It was there that he worked with some of the state’s most experienced defense attorneys, helping defend serious and complex criminal matters ranging from white collar crime to major drug offenses.
Following graduation from law school in 2007, Weber served more than three years as the Assistant Sioux County Attorney in Orange City, Iowa. As Assistant Sioux County Attorney, Weber prosecuted hundreds of cases including Operating While Intoxicated (OWI), possession of controlled substance offenses, various driving offenses and a wide array of assaults. Weber has conducted numerous jury and bench trials as both a prosecutor and defense attorney. He also has worked extensively with Northwest Iowa law enforcements agencies in investigation and training activities, which has allowed him to gain valuable insight into the area’s criminal justice system and criminal defense bar.
Weber also worked for a general practice law firm in Orange City. While in private practice with the Orange City law firm, Weber gained further experience in matters of family law, estates and taxation, divorce and general litigation.
In 2012 Weber opened Jared R. Weber Law in Orange City. His current law practice focuses on, but is not limited to criminal defense, estates and taxation, divorce and civil litigation for clients in Sioux County and throughout Northwest Iowa.
