I would offer negative stars if possible. My mother has had her personal and business accounts with Sandy Spring for 30 plus years. I am a signer on her accounts. Last Friday at this branch someone presented a fake ID with my name on it and proceeded to withdraw from my mothers accounts $27,000 in multiple transactions such as cashiers checks and cash. The kicker is that the person who was impersonating me was African American and I am Caucasian. It is entirely baffling that there was such a complete breakdown in security to allow this to happen. The bank has photocopies of drivers license’s and should use them to verify account holders. Furthermore, to allow someone to withdraw such a large sum over 4 transactions and not have a single “red flag” be raised in very concerning.
Mr. Moody's communications efforts truly made my experience, pleasurable and easy. It was truly a pleasure working with him and he was very down-to-earth and friendly. I truly appreciate his willingness to stop by my closing personally.
Thank you Teri and Rod for all your hard work, for pushing through always!! I found my perfect home and was able to close with ease because of you guys. Thank you, there truly is no one like you both!!
I have business accounts and the service is exceptional and excellent. Greeted by name upon entrance. Never had any issue of concerns. It has been my bank, and will continue to be my bank
Came to make a simple deposit on 8/1/22. Teller didn’t greet me or the other customers that walked in. He seemed pretty miserable. Didn’t ask me anything that a teller would normally ask and once the deposit was done he gave me my receipt and didn’t say a single word.
They are the worst bank branch in md...point blank ..they need to fire everyone there. Bank Manger not there on time to open branch. Ghetto employees never ever again
Jason C Hall went ghost in the middle of my transaction. He has not responded to the emails from the first time home buyer program I was using in Baltimore. Since he went ghost, I had to start the process over with a new lender. He is not reliable.
I opened a business account 1st week of April 2021, after one entire month of going back and forth with the sales rep. I had a feeling that was a clear indication of what banking with SSB would be like and I was right. Every time I try to log in phone or laptop I always get locked out. I am forced to call the office to get the lock removed and I'm forced to change my password each and every single time. After a month of opening the account I attempted to print out the bank statement, the system said I have none....WHAT!!! This is the most archaic system, it's very time consuming just to log in then to not be able to accomplish something simple as print a statement is exhausting and frustrating. I hate to say I regret joining SSB for my business needs, since I'm not able to accomplish my business needs. I was under the impression online banks are not safe but I'm finding these brick and mortar are not useful! Highly disappointed. For business accounts, keep searching.
Worst bank ever the girl could not stay focused to save her dame life she was completely distracted worrying about her coworkers actions instead of paying attention to me as the customer. ... save ur time and go elsewhere... they should all be fired ... there sitting there just collecting FREE MONEY
From the time I walk into the door everyone was very nice, they answer all of my question and I was very pleased. I was so please that I open an personal and a business account. I would definitely recommend this bank.
