I really wanted to love this place as it is locally owned and very convenient to walk to. That said, sadly, based on our three visits, this is one of of the most overrated places in Germantown. Put another way, this place is probably great for the average Germantown palette, but pales against really good coffee and breakfast places. The coffee drinks are average at best and not nearly to the quality you can find in other places such as City & State, Belltower, Comeback and Jo-Jo's, for example. Frankly, if I can make a better latte at home it is not worth buying one there. The breakfast burrito was bland and the pastries just average. Full disclosure: while we have been there three times, it has been over three years since our last visit. Again, I really wish I could rate this place higher, and make it a regular stop, but the ratings given are not indicative of the quality we experienced. That said, your results may vary and you should try for yourself to make up your own mind as I think locally owned business deserve our support. I may return for another visit to see if things have changed and if so I will adjust my review.
The owners and staff are wonderful. The French toast is very delicious. My daughter is extremely picky but loves the French toast at Java. My favorite meal there is the Spa Salad. Great summer go to, chicken, strawberries and a light dressing. YUM! So very good!Food: 5/5
Consistently fabulous. The chicken salad is a family staple. Dining in is fun and take out is fine. You can buy loaves of their bread when available. Everything on the menu is delicious .Yum! .
A hidden gem in Tennessee. If you are ever near Memphis PLEASE PLEASE look up this beautiful place. Food is AMAZING and the people are so AWESOME. You will never regret coming here.
Went for breakfast, the food was good and at a fair price. The employees were courteous and more than helpful.Food: 5/5
The lox and bagel dish is fabulous. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich on Italian white and he really enjoyed it. Service is quick and the staff is always very welcoming and friendly.
Great little spot to grab breakfast or lunch at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.Food: 5/5
I went here for the first time this morning because I was craving a bagel and lox and this seemed to be the only place around that had it . When I walked in, it had a very “locals” feel and the staff were amazingly friendly. I got my order to go and when I got home, I opened the box to be graced with the biggest most beautiful bagel and lox I’ve ever seen. Easily enough for 2 people. I will definitely be going back and trying their other items. So awesome.
Sandwich, chips, drink for two people and a tip only 30$ total. Really good size portions and small cafe atmosphere. Definitely a go to when heading to Collierville on a Saturday afternoon of shopping or a week day lunch. They are open Monday through Saturday 7:30 till 2. Hard fast close at 2. Great owner!
I will never EVER go to this place Again. I ordered a club sandwich & it had 3 strings of long white hair on my sandwich which I noticed as soon as I lifted the bread up. I politely asked for a refund & the guy didn’t even apologize. All he said was, wow those hairs are long. Disgusting Fat Asswhole.
