Always have fun here with my boys and there's a smaller dog park it's less trafficky if you have a challenging doggo... Playground and water splash pad are great
This park has a great history of folks getting to get her on Tuesdays to advocate and outreach the homeless population. They serve dinner, have tents with supplies and toiletries as well as items that are supplied to replenish necessary supplies. The Venus Forward and Back Orbit route will get you right to the park or the regular Metro Bus, depending on your preference! They also have a small splash pad over on the east side of the park that my son just adores!
Cute little park with a splash pad. Stopped by there when we were on vacation just to get the kids out of the car and cool off a bit.
This has become a homeless shelter. We biked all the way here for the kids to do a splash pad and there are people bathing themselves. Ridiculous.
Nice neighborhood park. Has basketball courts, picnic areas, & plenty of parking.
This place was awesome. They were having a gathering to help homeless people. Lots of stands with giving folks that were giving clothes, hygiene and other needed items to folks who really need it. It was organized and everyone was kind and courteous. I was helping a friend sign people up for free phones/tablets. What an amazing experience. Playground: Not many kids playing cause it was so hot Dog-friendliness: Lots of happy dogs and owners. Picnic area: Grass was green. Park very well kept
Great splash pad & playground combo with bathrooms close by for little ones Playground: Huge playground and then a separate play area with faux vehicles and splash pad Restrooms: Restrooms are the cleanest bring public park but nice and close for potty training
Clean park and have water for the kids to play with. Today was 118 degrees and barely people here!!! Playground: Spray water for kids to play Restrooms: The restroom has no door LOL Picnic area: Has the bbq and bench with canopy.
In the last few weeks the homeless have set up camp and have completely taken over. There have always been homeless people at the park, which is fine. They need a place to hang out, too. But lately, it’s been overrun with tents, makeshift beds, camping stoves, shopping carts, etc. I’ve even seen people washing up in the splash pad. Plus blatantly shooting up in broad daylight, with needles on the ground. I used to walk my dog here every morning, ever since I moved to the area a year and a half ago, but it no longer feels safe. Sad.
Very nice shade areas to hang with your best buds.
