I never write reviews but this place is terrible. I booked a session for a family photo as well as 1 yr old photos. We were given 15 minutes for this shoot with change of clothes. The photographer was inexperienced not to mention very unprofessional. We were treated like a herd of cattle and the pictures were of poor quality. We were not allowed to use the second background we picked out and were still expected to pay for the pictures taken. The quality of this shoot was so bad that we ended up leaving without picking a single picture worth purchasing. This was actually our second time there and sad to say the first time was equally bad with the photographer losing half of the pictures taken resulting in a second appointment for the second half of the photo shoot. Don't go there. It is really not worth the stress!

This was my first time trying a photo shoot with jc penny and I couldn't have been more disappointed. My expectations weren't high to begin with because of their prices but I expected a professional photographer who at least could take better pictures than myself to service our family of three. I understand that they were busy during the holiday season but I'm pretty sure the photographer that took our photos wasn't a professional photographer. A lot of our photos were NOT even centered and ALL of our pics were zoomed in so much that the pretty background I chose did not even show. I asked her why none of the pictures show the background or have a full standing view of our family and she said "that's just how I take pictures". WOW!

Horrible, letdown, lied to. We had an appointment booked, kids came home from college and out of town, got dressed up, hair done. Weather was bad and we called on the way to say we were delayed in traffic and they said OK no problem. We arrived TEN minutes late and they CANCELLED the appointment. No other customers were there on the premises and we easily could’ve completed the photos in a short time and we pleaded with them to get this done as it was a special Christmas gift but the redheaded woman at the desk was incredibly rude and would not take us. She also said there were no appointments until late in the day the following day even though a check of their online appointments showed almost every spot was open. We were crushed and so angry that we communicated and were told we could still get our pictures and then absolutely rudely turned away when we arrived. Media advertising this time of year is full of commercials with heartwarming stories of companies that help make Christmas special for people, but JCPenney gets the absolute grinch award and we will never be coming back here again.

We did a family shoot there. Really bad experience. The photographer did her job in a rush, push us to do every pose quick without giving us any time to think and talk, and explain our own ideas. And the result is not as our expectation either. Most of the photos, missing one hand, one arm or baby feet. Horrible, they charge 99+30+tax for 20pcs digital photos and probably 20 minutes shooting. And I will say only satisfied with 5 of the 20 photos. I don't write review too often, but I definitely not happy with their photo shoot, and decide to warn everyone who wants to have a good baby photo indoor. I choose them only because outside is still too cold for an infant! will not go there anymore. Definitely looking for a local photographer!!!!! so disappointed.

It was an awful experience. For the first time we decided to have a professional photo shoot with our one year old baby. When I scheduled an appointment on the Internet, I thought there was 30 minutes frame between appointments. I thought we would have time cuz our one year old has still his own schedule. We were 10 minutes late they didn't have in store signs where to go, we couldn't find elevators for our stroller and this studio inside the building. They could tell us to reschedule at first! But they told us to wait a little. We waited like an hour, no one came to us, no one told us anything. My husband asked when our turn would be, they told us that just one couple was in front of us and then our turn. Then 40 minutes later nothing. I asked again, one of the employees told me she had her list full and she had to take their pictures first, she told me to reschedule - one hour and a half later!!! They told me to reschedule! We were with a baby! It was not easy to wait and then nothing. She told me she would take pictures of others who came in time and it could be till closing time. We waited like two hours. Waisted two hours! I am so disappointed by their service. We really wanted to have our first family portrait, they ruined our day. We'll go some other place where customer service will be much better.

Today we took our 10 month old son in for photos and it was amazing! Erik is an amazing photographer. He made my son laugh and he really kept my son engaged . He got the pictures done within 30 minutes. So happy ! Needless to say the pictures are awesome! A great place so happy about my photos

I was not happy with my family's experience at this location. 3 rescheduled. The photographer wouldn't let us use the background we wanted because "our clothing colors would get lost" so now we hate our family pictures because the background color. She did take one picture with the background we wanted of everyone and it was am amazing pic but since it was the last shot, she had taken enough. Apparently you can book a 7 o'clock appt online but since they close at 7. They will call you to move it up so they can go home. 2 star for location and the fact we got one good picture. I even complained on the surgery and nothing so we are loving with prints we don't like. I had 2 other shots at a different location for Christmas and it was wonderful so go to yorktown to be treated with respect not woodfield.

I've gone here 2x for my daughters photos, newborn and 6 month and plan on coming back for Christmas photos. For her newborn photos I didn't know what I wanted so they were pretty standatd and usually I'm very visual and creative so after looking at other newborn pics I knew what I wanted but it was to late but they were still great! At her 6 month photos I went in with what my vision was for my daughters pictures and kim I believe her name was listened to all my of my ideas and made my vision come alive and I am soooo happy with her photos. I recommend going here they are very amazing at what they do and I never had a rude experience. I also reccomend going in there with your ideas and show them pictures for a better outcome ! I had a terrible experience. Poor customer service and I ended up paying for photos that I'm not at all happy with. I was on time for my appointment and still had a very long wait. The photographer was rushing me and totally not listening to what I wanted for my photos. She didn't care about what I was looking for, she just snapped photos as quickly as possible so that she could get to the next person. When I mentioned I wanted something different than the shots we took, she said it was too late because she had already uploaded them in the system.
