They wonder why thieft is so high and customer / employee satisfaction is so low... Perhaps try having more than 3 staff working during the day. One manager hiding, one slacking in jewelry, and one completely swamped at the only open register in the entire store! The line of about 20-30 people goes through half the store. This place is an absolute joke. So very poorly run. This isn't an isolated incident. I come here 1-2 times a week. It's been like this for at least 2 years, that I know of.
They had tons of discounted items, from shoes to clothing. Downside, they don't have shopping carts, baskets, or shopping bags, so be prepared to carry all your stuff around on your hands. The cashier I interacted with was rude, not eye contact at any given time, definitely not costumer service friendly.
Where do I start? I’ve been very patient. I dropped off my gold chain for repair, last year in Dec. 2022.Jc Penney, Southland Mall .. I have gotten nothing but the run around for six months.. I don’t even know where my chain is . I called hundreds of times to the jewelry department they never answer..they have told me, they can’t hear the phone or the phone doesn’t ring or it’s not working or whatever their excuse is…I had to actually go into the store to speak to someone..3 different times.. they keep giving me the runaround, they don’t give me any answers. Someone actually gave me the phone number to the depot in Texas where they do the repairs.. I called, left a voicemail they never called me back.. I called again, she said they were not suppose to give me the phone number..and she wouldn’t give me any info..about MY chain. I am at a loss for words.. 6 months later and I can’t even get an answer. I could go on and on about all the interactions I’ve had with the the jewelry Dept.I want my chain back, I need answers. This is just so unfair…… 1 of the times that I had gone into the store, they said “oh let me check my email” she came back and said “oh yeah they said it’s going to cost such and such amount to repair your chain”. Im thinking like how long had that email been sitting there SMH… and I’m like yeah do it..So, why hasn’t anybody contacted me? But still even after that, it’s been three or four months.. it clearly states on my receipt estimated completion date 2/1/23.. well we are in June now and I haven’t even gotten my chain back, let alone an answer....someone keeps dropping the ball at my expense.. it’s a simple repair.. the chain broke…Not happy whatsoever.. may I also state, I’ve been extremely kind and have not lost my cool, but I’m at the end of my rope..
I feel very upset about the costumer service at JCPenney in southland mall. Today around 1pm I went to return an online order, and one of the jeans didn’t have the tag on. I literally got the jeans on Friday and today is Sunday, the jeans are untouched and they still have a plastic on the jeans. And the lady at the return department told me in a very rude way that I cannot returned the jeans, I ask her if I can speak with the manager, maybe the manager can help make a decision since the jeans are literally new, and I have the receipt. She told me with a smile on her face that she is the manager, I felt so bad! She made me feel like there was nothing I can do and that I HAVE to keep some jeans that I would never wear. Very disappointed!
Apparently it’s “protocol “ to show your ID in order to purchase with your debit card. After declining to sign up for a credit card, the cashier said she still needed to see my ID in order for me to use my bank card. 15+ years of purchase and they suddenly change the rules after I declined signing up for credit card. Fascinating.
They got good stuff. But each purchase just takes soooo long. They need a non member "I just wanna buy my stuff a get out line"
Jcpenny is Froud they do Froud in cash payments and they make it credit cards and tell u a rewards card that lady’s name is Linda on counter
Friendly associates -merchandise can be pricey for some items and sometimes there is a good sale. Clientele seems to be low....store needs to be brighter cleaner.
Got great helpful friendly customer service. I always find great things at JCP. Sure miss the one I grew with during my childhood days at Fashion Valley mall in my hometown of San Diego.
Friendly employees & the store is always very clean & well stocked
