Went in for a cut and highlight and ended up only getting a highlight because of the amount of time it took. Did a good job on the color No complaints there. I'm Giving only a Four star-rating because of the amount of time it took... way longer than it normally does and the price for just a half head of highlights With no cut was extremely high
1st 2 times I went here with same hairdresser I was very happy. The 3rd time was a big disappointment. Didn't layer the top enough and cut too much off length. Very straight cut.
Worst experience with w simple updo with extensions. Iv had mine clipped in many times and this process took almost 2.5 hours. I had them done for a photo shoot with my newborn. The pictures are beautiful, the hairdo is awful. Pieces falling out and sticking out, Bobby pins visible. Not to mention they fried my hair, burnt my scalp with a curling iron. Not a good experience and would not recommend anyone go here.Services: Hairstyling
I had scheduled the design works service for a wash and style. When I arrived, I did not get a wash, just some conditioner gel that was put through anD blew dried. I the. Showed a picture of a style in which the stylist stated she is not that good at braids. The finished product did not look like the photo and I could tell the stylist was struggling. When I got home I had to add a few Bobby pins of my own due to hair being uneven. Ended up okay in the end but was not satisfied with the service or finished product. I probably will not be going back.Service: Hairstyling
I am just finally getting around to leaving this review but I am just disgusted with how everything was handled. We had a full discussion about what layers I wanted and I specifically told her I wanted to keep my length because it had taken me 2 years to get this back. She then proceeds to cut my hair in HALF. I said to the woman to stop after I realised and the manager had to come over to try and smooth the situation over as if this was what I asked for. No one could even acknowledge the mistake or apologize for it. The hair dresser kept lieing saying this was what I asked for when she knew we had a full discussion 15 minutes prior. After All that I was still made to pay for this abomination and had to go to a private salon down the road and pay another $60 the next day to have it fixed. I added photos as well of the hair dresser who destroyed my hair and the manager who tried to fix it but could not.
I was a walk in looking to correct the color that I had horribly messed up. I had to come back a few hours later but it was so worth it! Tina Maxwell took care of me and was fantastic. The color she came up with is beautiful and I couldn’t be happier. She was very friendly and out going, as was Rose. I will definitely be coming back here for all of my hair needs. Services: Haircut
So I called the day of-they got me in at 2:30. I’m spontaneous. I wanted some one experienced with color. The salon recommended Denise, she had been in the business for over 30 years... my only concern was that she was current. Fast forward, she listened, she’s current! I showed her a photo only because I haven’t had good luck in the past. My hair looks great!I I mean really really beautiful! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because they have no one manning the front station, they leave it up to the stylists. This is not professional. Hire a girl to answer the phones and take care of sales. No Brainer!! Your Salon should be packed but JC Penney is trying to save a buck at the expense of the little guy. If JC Penney is not careful they will be a Sears. Take care of your help and you will survive.
Showed stylist picture of what I wanted for a haircut. No guessimg, right, or miscommunication? Well, cut was horrible, looked nothing like picture and looked like someone placed a bowl over my head and proceeded to cut. Went back to have it fixed, and after doing exactly the same haircut, only a shorter version, I was told to dry my hair would be extra. Mean girls should not be allowed to have scissors.
Had a bad experience, i chose to get design works chose all over braid for my birthday which should include shampoo which I didn’t get. The hairstylist did two pigtails braids which I could’ve done myself and not spent $60
