The staff that work there are very friendly, helpful, and love sharing ideas with you . The shop itself is very dirty and a bit unorganized. The shop owners, however, are very sketchy and will try to price gouge you if you're not careful. Shop with caution, but you may find much better pricing online, or at another store.
Friendly staff I’m going back to buy some memorabilia too
This place is super awesome. Very friendly staff and lots of awesome kits for begginers and kits for more experienced builders. I was very surprised to see that they even had lots of other pop culture related items from Star Wars and other tv shows and movies. The have model kits of lots of different vehicles like ww2 planes, tanks and ships and even some kits of newer fighter jets. I highly recommend you visit this place.
A must go and see to believe place!!! Great place for those remembering bygone toy & hobby shops. Large, voluminous stocks of arts & crafts supplies; plastic science fiction, aircraft, automotive, ship, railroad trains, and tank model kits, as well as the tools, adhesives, and paints to complete them; many manner of new and used toys; books; and many other odds and ends, like art work, entertainment posters, historic photographs, Call before you go for hours and directions. Ask for what you seek. The proprietors are knowledgeable experts in all manner of subjects, including local history, organizations, and the downtown community.
If you like model kits, this place is great. Collectable figures, assembled models, model rockets, and just so much cool stuff. A REAL small business hobby shop! Where the people are there because they love hobbies as much as you and want to help. This place is awesome
Great Model Shop...Eclectic in a wonderful way. Louis and his staff are very helpful. This is sadly one of the few great shops left. Hobby People just close ALL their stores. Kids are TOO busy with their heads buried in computer games. To the first comment from Karyn...I think you said your kids however well behaved wouldn't break much. MUCH? They shouldn't break ANYTHING! Perhaps Louis had to make these restrictions sadly from previous experience. Check this place out!
Recently got back into modeling and needed paint. Happy to find a place nearby. Went in and was a little overwhelmed by not only the sheer size of the place but the the amount of stuff in it. There was sooo much hobby stuff. Old school hobby stuff too. Trains, models, collectables and memorabilia, I mean you name it it's probably there. Was greeted immediately by not just the employee but the owner as well. Grabbed what I needed cuz I knew I would end up there all day, but also was pleased that they cared about helping me out and gave me a quick refresher on airbrushing. Found my new go to for gear which is why I am surprised to read some of the negative reviews here saying that the owner was rude and the place was unwelcoming.
One of the last real hobby shops left.
Model kits and hobby stuff everywhere. Nice to see an old time store like this still exists. Even if I hadn't found the kit I bought it was still entertaining just to go in there. The wife of the owner, Natalie, was very nice and helpful.
